The ABC Homeopathy Forum

47 years old grief, guilt, and anger.

Hello
I'm writing about my mom who is in her eighties. To this day, she is still traumatized by her father's death 47 years ago as she (along the rest of the family) did not made the correct decision to help him when he was very sick. Basically they kept him home and he died. I have the feeling that she never forgave herself for not saving him because she always talks about him and cries whenever she remembers him, which is almost every day. She says she was intimidated by the rest of the family, but at the time she was young and could not take care of him. I gave her Ignatia 200 a while back and I am not sure it helped a little.
If she does not cry, she is verbally aggressive, mostly in the morning, until finally she breaks down and cries. Now that she is in her older age, she also has light dementia but the sadness is still there.
She is also a very domineering type of person. At first she might appear gentle but she has to have the last word no matter what.
As far as I can remember, she constantly wants to "escape", the way my grandma used to tell us stories about how they escaped. When she worked she would escape from the work and took pleasure in escaping. Now she is with me, and she still escapes on a regular basis and I have to run after her. She always talks about "escaping", she has to save herself. Her mother used to tell many stories about the genocide but we all heard them. However she hates everyone but her late father who was actually kind of "absent' as he was traumatized. She had 4 other siblings.
She saw a homeopath in her hometown when her father died and he gave her Ignatia. Her mood can vary a lot but the aggressivity has pretty much always been there too although she hides it in front of strangers. As long as she worked and had money she liked to go out. She had to step out to "escape" and see people, see something else. Now she has no money left and never planned for the future and she sees herself as a victim.
I gave her hyoscamus 200 and it seemed to make a difference, at least she said it calms the "uproar" and all the voices she hears in her mind. She gets scared easily and jumps at noise. She wants to keep all doors and windows closed and doesn't like anyone around but me, but even then, she can insult me and usually her words are related to sex in a negative way. Back then, she also isolated herself and waited to be "saved". My father died decades ago, when they were already separated. Now her memory falters, and sometimes she is not sure where she is anymore, or she thinks I'm someone else. Either that, or I cannot speak. I must shut up constantly. She used to be very smart, this is difficult to see.
Thank you for reading this. Please help.

I have copied and pasted twice by mistake, and I am trying to delete the first post. Sorry for the inconvenience. Basically I just wanted to add she can be very restless and only stepping outside helps and seeing people and walking. She has to "change her mind", distract herself.
Thank you for reading.

Hello Dr Sharma,

She took the first dose and it made her very tired. I almost had to carry her home.
I am not sure I can give her this remedy 3 times a day, it seems it has a profound effect.

Just give for 5 days then stop

Since she had a response to this one dose, and from what I understand from homeopathy, "the minimum & single dose stimulus of the medicine triggers the intrinsic healing response", I choose to wait to let the medicine complete its action without overtaxing the body. I will report as I see improvement. Thank you.

Hello again,

The biggest change I have seen is she stopped grieving her father, and this happened after the first dose.
She wants to be busy, but gets tired walking. What hasn't changed is that she can be aggressive and doesn't always recognize me which is a sign of dementia. If she recognizes me she is usually not physically or verbally aggressive. While walking, she looks too rigid. She also has memory loss which was there before.

about the thread: "47 years old grief, guilt, and anger", the grief is completely gone, and this happened after one dose. I waited because she was tired, and then gave the medication again to see if it would help the other issues, but it did not. She still has anger, confusion, dementia and she walks rigidly. Sometimes she thinks I am someone else and gets very angry at me, insulting and hitting me.
I tried Hyoscamus as I had done in the past, it worked but has limited action. Finally this morning she didn't want to get out of the car, and it lasted a long time. I hadn't heard back from you yet, so I gave her Veratrum one dose and it worked. I am not sure if I should keep giving this or switch to another medicine. Thank you for helping.
