There is no normal dosage as such - it is individualised depending on the situation. If you are unsure of how to dose, then it is better to err on the side of caution and give one dose, waiting to see the reaction. If there is no reaction or a very minimal one you could repeat the dose until you do get a reaction, allowing enough time between each dose to assess the reaction properly.
Remember to use the split dose as outlined in the Organon of Medicine - dissolve the pillules into a container of water and alcohol (5 parts to 1 part) - a small bottle 15-30mls in size is suitable, with a dropper is also useful. Hit the bottle firmly against an elastic surface like the palm of the hand or a book a small number of times (I start with 2) and place 1 drop into a small amount of water - you may start at 1/4 cup (62mls) but this can be adjusted upwards to reduce any aggravation the patient experiences. Stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth, throwing the rest of the cup away.
No more doses should be taken if the patient worsens in any way, or develops new symptoms.
Each step of this process can be adjusted to get better results.
More hits on the bottle will increase the potency slightly if the patient is not responding well, or has stopped responding after initially doing well.
More drops increases the size of the dose, for those patients that are not responding at all. Placing the drops on the tongue directly is best only done for those patients who are not very sensitive.
Diluting into more water will decrease the aggravation, both severity and length.
