Fungal Infection in the Ear
Dear Doctors,My daughter, aged 17 was having severe ear pains from Saturday night(15th). It started all of a sudden. Gave her 2 doses of belladona 30C, however though the pain subsided, it was not cured by Sunday Evening. Took her to the Doctor, and he advised that she has fungal infection. Gave ear drops and antibiotics.
Couple of years back she was operated for her tonsils. The fungal infection turns up once in a while.
Pls advise
Thx/Mathew

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Antibiotics kill only bacteria, not fungus.
Why did you get antibiotics for fungal infection?
my advise: this is emergency and there is no time for online case taking: you need to take her to profesional (seems though that this one doesn't know what he's doing
or
this is bacterial infection)
meanwhile if you want to use eardrops prepared for earache from homeopathically potentized remedies SIMILISAN makes them.

Hi Astra.. long time!!!
Something whitish and a bit thick. Anyway after putting the eardrops and taking the meds(antibiotics), the pain has subsided and she goes to college. She had to skip college for couple of days. Now she goes while covering her ears with cotton.
It resurfaces after some time. Still its not a permanent cure.
Wonder what makes it to resurface.
Pls advise if you could suggest some longtime cure.
