Acute laryngitis
My son who is 4 years old now has for his first three winters come down with a sudden onset of croup that quickly turns into laryngitis. He has had to be hospitalized 4 times for this since his birth. The MD's get him over it with steroids and antibiotics. Im'm looking for some guidance from you all in what I should be doing homeopathically for him. He has already been to the doctor this fall for it, and prescribed antibiotics and steroids. Please guide me.lajaw on 2007-11-07
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If it is a sudden onset keep aconite 200c on hand. You also need to follow up with Hepar sulph 200c and spongia 200c if required.
Procure all the three and keep it on hand. On the first signs of attack give three doses of Aconite 200c, 4 pills for each dose, within a span of 2 hours.
Report here for further guidance.

Mr. murthy,
You claimed to be a single remedy prescriber. Why 2/3 remedies at once. Why not according to symptoms.
Dear lajaw,
Please buy the following bio-salts and give it to your kind for a month.
Kali Mur-6x
Ferrum Phos-6x
Hopefully this will cure child.

Dear Dr.Mahfooz
Even now I am prescribing a single remedy only, and asking the seeker to contact back after using Aconite.
Hepar.sulph and Spongia are advised to be procured because the shipping charges can be saved if you order remedies together.
Normally the symptoms change to indicate either Hepar or Spongia in cases like the above mentioned.
Either of them will be used if the symptoms demand it. Otherwise we will choose a proper medicine based on the symptoms.
I have not recommended blindly to use remedies in a sequence. I only asked them to be procured and kept handy, in case required.
Hope this clrifies your doubts.

My apologies to everyone. My wife told me this morning that my son suffers from bronchitis rather than laryngitis. My feeble brain begs your pardon please.
Do the same remedies apply?
sorry for the confusion.

I wanted to thank you for your recommendation. My son started with a croupy cough the other night and I started with the aconite 200c. Three doses in two hours. He was over it in that time. I have been using the wrong potency before. I thank you!
