OCD obsessive compulsive disorder

I am 31yrs male of Indian origin.
After break up from my love affair in Jan'03 i was diagonised with suffering from severe
depression and obsessive compulsive disorder (disturbing unwanted sexual thoughts).

My psychiatrist had put me on allopathic anti depressant medicines (vanlafaxine) for 5 months
(feb'03 to jun'03). After a certain point of time i realized that the allopathic medicine was not beneficial in curing my symptoms much any further and it also had too many side effects. Hence, in July'03, on the advice of my homeopathic doctor, i quit the allopathic drugs and started homeopathic medicines.
Since july'03 to date i have been taking calc-sil folled by kalphos and equisitum.
The homeopathic medicines have helped in curing my depression but the disturbing sexual thoughts
are still persisting.
In addition, after i started suffering from the above problems my erections have been weak and irregular thus resulting in lack of interest in sex.
Pls advice some possible solutions.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
allopathic no cure AT ALL.only post pone ;Homoeopathic medicines do the same when not applied according to "ORGANON" by Hahnemann (founder of homoeopathy).

Homoeopathy treats whole person ;not parts and
with 1 indicated remedy at time and not continuous usage- .You read some prescriptions here and you see taking remedy days into months--why ?--not applying any PRINCIPLES layed down -.

Please excuse digression.

you still taking homoeopathic remedies you mentioned above?

after break-up---it is important to know your symptoms (of what you term depression). ...i.e ..active?inactive?

more than likely PHOSPHORICUM ACIDICUM IS/was REMEDY. But much medicines used may have created blockage.

you see if not consider whole person --individual never get well--only chase symptoms around.

I tell you --see what others here offer--and see if they are there to follow whole case--PROOF IS IN RESULTS--try what you will and if you STILL need help after trying all the suggestions, then I will help.ANytime email.

But be willing to stop all medicines/supplements and alter diet.

John stanton, shut up. you wait for other responses and then you think that you know everything. you know nothing my friend....so go to school first and then you can give advices....good ones...
first off all, the homeopathic treatment for the obsessive compulsive disorder is constitutional and long term, and is very compatible with psychotherapy but not always with psychoactive drugs.
So, if you suffer from this problem, continue the treatment with your homeopath. like I said is a long term treatment. and of course, tell him all the symptoms you have in this moment.
he knows you better than john stanton or than me, and he is the only one who can prescribe the correct dose of the remedies for you.

take care

ALLY,

Who say long term or short term? You know this for every case? You not know?

Who say not constitutional case?

Who say not compatible with psychtherepy?

But I say no pschyatric medicines.

Dietary adjustments are always helpful.

EVERY CASE IS INDIVIDUALIZED.

Hi Folks,
Jaikrishan again with all of you. It was great to have the replies, atleast some one is concerned and responding, that marks the quest to the end of the tunnel.
As a matter of fact, i have stopped the homeopathic medications 2 weeks ago. I did so as i was not gaining much footage in obtaining an effective cure. I certainly agree that homeopathy is extremely advanced form of medication system, but at the same time i am of the opinion that my doctor has been very critical in my approach, hence the cure being ineffective.
Fellows out there, please keep responding.

I am also suffering frm OCD frm past more than 5 yrs when it was identified and i am using the same venlaflaxine( full dose) along with anti insomnics and in past tried fluoxitine and clompramine. I had tried homeopathy and have great faith in it , if its suiting you dear or feeling better with it as same as with venlaflaxine there is nothing like it, homeopathy is very safe and the best alternative medicine i know.

The side effects you have mentioned are very much frm venlaflaxine and are with me too, i think they take a little time to fade.

OCD is all about guilt, the more one fears the more it worsens but its only a health problem like others BP problems, diabetes bla bla bla and is very much treatable.

Allopathy have lots of side effects and very costly where as homeopathy have no side effects and is easily affordable.

I also use along Kali Phos 6x along with venlaflaxine, it helps anxiety but the best thing is take consultation of qualified homeopath.

Mr verma is one here who advices.

In our country its practised a lot, we dont have as much psychiatrits here as much homeopaths but my city is a small one so the homeopaths i have tried here unfortunately didnt help rather internet advices help works better for me . If you are in delhi or mumbai there are very competent homeopaths there and well adversed with psychological probelms like ours , all you have to do is find one.

Best of luck.

Keep me informed

Little or no side effects from SSRIs?

The side effects of SSRIs are famous - and get this - the drug companies knew about them, but withheld the information from doctors.

Common side effects include:

+ headaches, dizziness
+ panic attacks worsenened
+ more obsessive thoughts
+ nightmares
+ physically & emotionaly numb
+ increase in depression
+ sudden weight gain
+ more likely to commit suicide/ self harm

etc etc.
