Very Sore throat with hoarseness in child
My 7 year old daughter started having a sore throat yesterday morning with a croupy sounding cough. The throat wasn't too bad but the cough sounded awful so I matched her cough symptoms and gave her Spongia in the evening. About 1:00 am she woke up crying with her throat really sore. She said it felt like someone scratched it. I haven't heard her coughting anymore but she sounds a little hoarse and it hurts to talk. It is red but not bright red and it does not have an odor. She feels a little warm and said she felt cold. How should I treat her sore throat? Thank you for your help.cinnamon on 2009-09-24

Thank you for your response. I don't have any Kali Mur but I do have Ferrum Phos but only the 30C. Tonight her cough is back. It sounds like a dog barking, very hoarse and dry sounding and her throat still hurts. I did go ahead and give her the Ferrum Phos 30C in the am and pm. I will have to order the Kali Mur but I won't get if for several days. Any other suggestions? I am grateful for any help you provide.
