Sulphur and Sulfa drugs question...
As a teenager I SEEMED to have a reaction (my eyes turned black) to some sulfa drugs that I took for healing a burned esophagus. I've always said that I'm allergic to sulfa drugs when asked because I don't know for sure.IF I am indeed allergic to sulfa drugs, would I possibly have a reaction to sulphur? It has come up a few times when I've done a search about my symptons as something I should take.
Thanks,
Roxanne

yes possible--but not concern with that --take symptoms as whole--this guide to remedy selection---now in case of sulfa drugs leaving complication or lasting adverse reaction from use--may find sulpur symptoms and maybe sulphur antidote--but more like nux-v or puls--but again symptoms guide. to selection

Homeopathic Sulphur is entirely different than allopathic sulfa/sulphur drugs. Homeopathic Sulphur is energetic and "speaks" to the body. Allopathic Sulphur pounces on the body like a body slam.
A burned esophagus would have been easy with homeopathy. What are your symptoms that are leading you to Sulphur?
A caution to all: NEVER use allopathic sulphur drops in the eyes for any reason. Very damaging, and very hard to reverse with homeopathy.

Roxanne, what burned your esophagus? My curiosity is up. SULPHUR is not a bad choice, but should always begin and be given in the am.
Rosacea may respond to PSORINUM. This remedy should only be taken once a week. It is strong and long-lasting. Sabra

ok--you open case with sulphur but --must be patient as changes or symptoms appear--you need always keep in mind you are healing whole self not just skin---symptoms always guide to treatment needed---if you new at homoeopathy---you may spoil case from premature intervention of response top sulphur--
also good chance skin condition aggravate .
better email case with all information and help that way.

Is sulphur drugs ever used for treatment of inflamation related to lupus? What are the pros and cons?

By the way, I had a bad reaction (retching, couldn't move, dizziness)to sulphur antibiotics myself but am fine taking homeopathic sulphur. Have been using sulphur 30C, 6 pills, 4+ times a day without problems, actually feel better when using regularly.
Runs in my family. My father had severe hives to sulphur antibiotics, and his mom also had a bad reaction too.

I'm pretty sure I have Rosacea, been to my family doc and a derm, taking metrogel now for a little over a month, very little to no improvement. I'm also allergic to sulfa.
I recently read that onions contain a lot of sulphur. Is sulphur in sulfa? And could I be allergic to sulphur and sulphites?
My cheeks get red VERY easily. From exercise, alcohol, spicey foods, sun... but lately they're itchy, bumpy red. Could this be from mushroom and ONION soup, etc, bc it contains sulfites? red wine containing sulfites...?
I also heard garlic, broccoli, cabbage contain sulphur too...
I just need some directions here...thanks!!
