Typhoid fever
5 yr old girl. Fever since 19/12/09 Evening rise of temp. No chill no sweat. Fever 103 F. Gave baptisia 30 4 doses. Next day fever 100 F Loose offensive motion. Playful active. Started bry 200 and ars 200 alternate. Again fever 101. Stopped ars and kept on bryonia. Fever 101.6 f. Dull drowsy and sleeping. Should baptisia be repeated? or alternated with bryo200?drmadhumati on 2009-12-25

Have you done the standard tests to identify and confirm that the 5 year old girl's fever is caused by the Salmonella Bacteria ?
Please Google 'Typhoid' and read the etiology of this disease which can prostrate the patient in a fewdays if she is not treated with drugs like Ciprofloxacin in time.
If your patient is your daughter it is obvious that you must seek a correct diagnosis before you ask for a help on a Forum such as this.
I do doubt that the patient suffers from Typhoid as your report of her temperature and other data preclude Typhoid. It is more likely that she has caught a Flu virus which she will overcome in a few days. In the meanwhile please get a correct diagnosis of the reason for her ailment.

It is better if one gives the remedy that is indicated on the basis of symptoms. It is not advisable to alternate remedies. There was no need to give bry and ars in alteration when the child was playful. If we give too much doses of too many remedies we fail to understand whether the symptoms are due to disease or due to remedy proving. When the child was playful remedies should have been stopped or tissue salts like ferrum phos, natrum sulph, kali mur should have been given.

There was no need to change the remedy or for that matter repeat once the child is playful and other vitals are improving. This is the infulence of Antipathy I am sure. In fact the post makes me wonder if Baptisia was given based on symptoms or not!
