cat ate tulips
Mattie ate some tulips, the bloom and some of the leaves. She is 16 years old. She is on a raw food diet. So, now it's been about 2 days and she is still vomiting, and not eating. She has a history of vomiting anyway, and had gotten into some other plants previously. All plants are now out of her reach. I am hoping someone can suggest a remedy to clear out the toxic effects and get her appetite back. Thanks for your help!heatherette23 on 2010-05-03
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
2 tablets Nat Phos 6x given 3 times daily may help her to regain her appetite.
You may also consider consulting a Vet to check the possibility of her having a ball of her own fur in the stomach which is blocking the passage of food down her gut.

Thank you Joe! I will try that. I was able to get her to eat from a spoon last night and she ate a about a tablespoon from a dish this morning. If she doesn't continue to improve, I will check the fur thing. She tends to bite her fur off and walk around with a 'beard' or spit it out, so I'm never sure how much hair she is actually swallowing.
