My 9 year old son with allergies and asthma

Hi,
My son suffers from allergies and asthma. He is allergic to pollen, tree, grass, peanuts and some other nuts. For past year or so he has been on steroid medicine and allergy medicine. I am concerned about long term use of these medicine.

He used to get asthma attack whenever he would run or play. He used to be very tired and would have no energy. He always has dark circle around his eyes.

Since he has been on these medicine, he hasn't had any asthma attack. He plays and is active. Again, I am concerned about long term use.

Another major concern of ours is his growth. His weight and height has pretty much stalled. He is nine but looks like 6 year old.

Is there anything in homepathy that can help him with his allergy and asthma as well as help his growth?

Dear vbansal,

1)pl give your son R 43 ,15 drops 3 times a day for 15 days.

2)Alfalfa malt 1/2 tsf bd

3)5 phos tabs 3 tabs 3 times a day.

4)do not suddenly stop any steroid medicine ,steroid dose has to be tapper-ed off slowly.

pl follow the above treatment for 15 days and revert back with the condition of the child.

I have given medicines which will not only take care of asthma & allergies but also will increase your son's weight.

R 43 & 5 phos is Dr Reckeweg's, Germany med,Alfaalfa malt is from medisynth pharma.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Do these medicine work in preventive mode or reactive mode? Currently my son is not having asthma attacks, he is active. What is the outcome that I should expect from these remedies you suggested?

Dear Dr. Mukherjee,
It has been about three weeks since I started giving my son R43 as you advised along with Alfaalfa malt and 5 Phos.

I have reduced his in take of inhaler from twice a day to once a day and stopped his allergy tablet that he was taking once a day. He is doing as well as he was doing while on this dosage.

You asked to report back the progress in about 3 weeks. Please let me know if I need to continue R43 or if there is something different that I need to do.
