This is your first post on this thread and you have not indicated if her bleeding has been helped by the Arnica. You now state that he suffers from Acne and also has dark circles under her eyes.

This last ailment can be considered as serious and I would recommend that you consult a specialist in general medicine to diagnose the reason for her nails turning blue in cold weather as this can indicate a circulatory problem in her body.
In the meanwhile she can continue with the Arnica as prescribed.

Dr.Joe,i consulted 3gynaecs for her irregular periods and prifuse bleeding .ialso got her hormone profile done plus her thyroid tests done .all the tests show normal levels of hormones .the dr. said she has no problem let her be .she will have normal regular periods in afew years.as for her cold hands and feet i have not consulted any one but will do so when she is back home for vacation thanks supriya

Dear Dr. Joe ,i hope you are in the best of health. Dr. joe i have a query .i recently read in this forum that heightcan be increased with homeopathy medicines .baryta carb 30 twice daily silicia 6x thrice daily and symphytum 200 once in aweek .is it true and if so can i give it to my two daughters .one is 13 years old .she is 5 feet tall and has not started her periods yet .the elder one is 21 years old .i have been discussing her problem of aloepecia and irregular periods with you .my elder daughter has been taking arnica 30 in wet dose for 15 days now but she reports that her under eye dark circles have not reduced nor have her pimple marks.i read in this forum that if arnica doesnt help one can try silica30 or graphites 30 once daily? regarding my mother---she is much better and is very thank for the medicine given by you.she sounds brighter on the phone and says she feels much much better .earliar whenever i would call she would be in bed now she is never in bed .all thanks to you .for the time being she is continuing with her allopathic meds also .i am hoping a day would soon come when she will no longer need them .i cant thank you enough Dr. keep well. i shall be waiting for your advice on my queries in this post .thank you once again .may God be with you

I do not believe that the height of anyone can be increased by Homeopathy.
You will have to be patient with your elder daughter as many patients whom I have treated for heavy menstrual bleeding have reported that their next period was normal after about 2 weeks on Arnica. Is your daughter concerned by her pimples or the residual marks from old pimples that have damaged her skin?
Glad to learn that your mother has improved with the Arnica 200c in the Wet dose. She can continue with this remedy for the rest of her life taken twice daily. I note that she is also taking drugs which you did not mention up to now. I would like to know what these drugs are and for what ailment she is taking them.

Dear Dr. JOe,my daughter is having old pimple marks and also new pimples on her shoulder and ipper back. her injuries or insect bites are prone to leave scars .please suggest something to remove the scars and also her dark undereye circles for which she is very conscious .as for my mother i had given details of all the allopathic medicines in my post .she takes amace and concor for B.P glyred for diabetes lopes as sleeping pill and vertin for virtigo .she says her specific problems are still there but she feels much good now .i feel she was also suffering from depression .now she seems to be better in that regard too .please keep in touch regards

Hello Dr. Joe ,ihope you are doing fine .Dr. i am presently taking arnica30 in wet dose and nat phos 6x .but i find that i am unable to sleep at night .i suffer agreat deal from hot flashes throughout the day but by late evening it becomes very frequent .i have to remove all warm clothing [it is winters here ]put on the fan as my head and face become red and hot .this happens 6-7 times at night when i have to drink cold water also.in 5-10 minutes it goes and i cant return to sleep .i tried glonoin 30 three times daily for 4-5 days initially it reduced a bit .i also have migrain with it one day on right side and next on left .my head throbs when i get the hot flashes .please suggest a remedy.there are days when ifeel better with nat phos 6 but on other days there is severe flatulence in myupper stomach .i feel sharp piercing pains in my back and diaphragm .when someone slaps my back hard several times ibelch out loudly .it is to be repeated for several minutes to give me some relief from the lot of gas in my stomach .if i take 2-3 spoons of antacid the pain reduces after some time .thes are my two killing problems .i wish i were dead rather than bear such pain please suggest some remedy .i shall be forever thankful to you. .waiting for your response best wishes supriya deb

I have treated many women who were at their Menopause with Arnica 30 in the Wet dose and they have all responded well to it. Some were experiencing heavy bleeding and the Arnica soon put an end to their problem. I presume that you too are taking it as confirmed by you and I would like to have your confirmation.

Dear Dr. Joe,i am taking arnica once a day .i did stop it for 2 days as i could not get any sleep for sevsral days. i stopped arnica for two days and i could sleep very well ,i also had severe mgrain during that time which went away after i slept well. when i get the hot flash i have to drink a lot of cold water even at night in the middle of sleep.as for my mother she keeps telling that she feels much much better .today she will go for her blood test and B.P check .iwill again report back .now my daughter --she says her acne scars [which are only on her back ]are there .Dr. i have to tell you that she never had any acne on her face .occassional small boils come up and they leave a little scar .she developed pimplesboils on her back when she first got her arms waxed .since then they have not gone .she also has a tendency to form a boilsty inside her eyelids .i then give her a few doses of silicea 30 along with antibiotic eye drops .on other occassions she also has to take antibiotic tablets to get rid of the sty...if you require any more information i will give you .keep well .thanks for everything supriya

I have prescribed Arnica to many thousands of patients both here in Sri Lanka and on the Homeopathic forums that I visit and you are the first person to react with sleeplessness as all those to whom I have prescribed it for various ailments have all confirmed that they slept very deeply after taking it. I do not know the reason why you differ from the normal patient but in the interest of your menopausal and other problems, you will have to take it for your own good. I note that you get the normal Hot Flushes now and that you take a drink of water which is OK. Exercise on a regular basis is also important especially at this time of your life.
Are you overweight? If so the remedy is Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets taken twice daily after meals.
You will have to take the Arnica 30c for your present condition which is not an ailment as it is natural for a woman at your age to have this inconvenience. If you still feel uncomfortable with the Wet dose of Arnica you can use a modification by taking the Split dose which you will make by pouring out a capful from the bottle into half a cup of water and taking a couple of sips from the water in the cup. You will observe that this method further dilutes the Arnica but I am not aware if the split dose is strong enough to help your Gyne problems. You can try the Split dose twice daily and report how you respond.
Glad to note the positive response of your mother. She can safely take Arnica 200c for the rest of her life.
Your daughter's Acne and Styes can both be resolved by Arnica 30c but the Silicea 30 cannot help her after a Sty is formed. The Arnica will however prevent the formation of future Styes and when both her problems are stabilized she can take just one dose at night for a long period.
Antobiotics do more harm than good and they will not help to resolve her styes. Fomentation with a damp towel soaked in hot water will help her. If the Sty has hardened into a Chalazion, she will have to consult an Opthalmic surgeon to have it scooped out.

Sleeplessness comes out markedly in proving symptoms of ARNICA. The patient here is clearly proving the remedy. Please do not turn a blind eye to this fact in the interest of the patient.

Homeopathy is based on the principles of Like Cures Like. When a drug is given to healthy individuals, it is capable of producing morbid symptoms. When the same symptoms are found in a person in ill health, the medicine cures by virtue of symptom similarity when given in Homeopathic potencies.
In your case, Arnica doesn't cover all the symptoms. At the best, it is a remote partial simillimum. Which means that while there may be slight (doubtful) relief in the presenting complaints, there may be many new and troublesome symptoms coming up - something we Homeopaths term as accessory symptoms. If you go on taking a remedy indiscriminately, these accessory symptoms, which would go on their own in situations of CONTROLLED HOMEOPATHIC DOSING, will leave a permanent mark on your constitution and will become permanent symptoms.
To justify my statement that sleeplessness is a common proving symptom of Arnica, I am copying from Allen's Hanbook of Therapeutics the sleep symptoms of Arnica:
leeps two hours in evening, then sleepless till 5 A.M., then sleep till 9 A.M. ► Sleepless ; till 2 or 3 A.M., with anguish as if owing to heat ; till 2 or 3 A.M. with stinging, biting itching here and there. ► Falls asleep late in evening, but sleeps long in morning. ► Sleep restless ; and diminished. ► Unrefreshing S. ► Disturbed sleep after going to be exhausted, waking frequently, each time from a dream that he was dying and that his bed was surrounded by friends. ► Talking loud and unintelligibly. ► Lamenting in sleep. ► Starting up in fright ; when falling asleep ; starting up in fright ; when falling asleep ; starting and jerking backward of head. ► Waking early ; frequently from dreams

Dear Dr. Joe, my mother got her B.P. and sugar checked.BP is 140/72 and her fasting sugar islower than the recommended[i am forgetting it ]but two hours after meals is 212.i guess this is high .should i tell her to have cinnamon powder ?if so what is the dose? she was sounding very cheerful over the phone and her Dr. too seems to find her in better mental condition .i am very thankful to you for these positive changes in her . If Arnica is not helping you and is also causing you insomnia, it is obvious that you cannot continue to take it. Your problem with your Menopause which I have often treated with Arnica will have to await further developments and it is possible that Niel may succeed in helping you.
Your mother is another very difficult case as although she responded to the Arnica 200 therapy, presumably after many years of unnecessary suffering, she is a confirmed Type I Diabetic. The remedy that I have used for hundreds of Diabetic patients is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose but in her case we cannot stop the Arnica 200 therapy which helped her in a few days and we cannot detract from her present improvement which would be regrettable.
I would not like to prescribe my default therapy for Diabetes Arnica 6c as it will be superseded by the action of the higher potency which will then render the lower potency 6c ineffective for her Diabetes. You will have to depend on her doctors to prescribe the standard drug Metformin as her Blood Sugar level is high and should be controlled ASAP. The problem that can follow taking this drug is that it may affect the improvement in her mental status and I really cannot advise you what you should do next.
Her BP cannot be considered as high at 140/72 and is best left alone.
Please do not every consider my involvement with your family's health as a bother to me as it is always a pleasure for me to help anyone in distress with my Joepathy.
