Allergies in toddler

My son is 3 1/2 years old and has sever enviromental allergies.
He has been sneezing since the day he was born. He has a stuffy nose almost all day (sometimes runny nose) what makes him to breath with his mouth open a great deal of time, so his throat gets dry and he coughs (a lot). His eyes are itchy and watery sometimes. When he runs (that he loves) he has to stop to cough. His cough is a dry cough and people who don't deal with allergies have asked me if he has the croup. He also has very itchy skin and in his arms he has a small patch of dry and bumpy skin (once I thought it was psoriasis, but no). It doesn't matter the natural/non-detergent/hypoallergenic soap I use or the different lotions and creams, that skin doesn't change and he's itchy almost all over (lately he's scratching the interior part of the elbow joint and behing the knees, but he scratches his belly, chest and legs all the time). He suffered 3 ear infections since he was born and had a sty in one eye (don't remember if it was the same one) twice. The eye doctor said it's common for people with allergies because they touch their eyes a lot.
He sneezes when he's asleep and coughs and moves a lot (like trying to find a good position) what bothers me because he doesn't rest properly.
He has bronchitis last December (I don't know if it's pertinent). His doctor thinks he's allergic to penicillin, but an allergy doctor said a rash he had after getting the antiboitic could have been a reaction to the food poisoning that affected all the family, but wouldn't test him yet (just to avoid a blood test).
I had given him some homeopathic cough syrup (Hyland's), C-Plus cold tablets (Hyland's), Sniffy sprinkles (Native Remedies) and Children's Allergy Relief (NatroBio) but not very consistently.
His doctor recommended Zyrtec (with no effect) and then I switched to Claritin (that worked better), but I don't like medicines/chemicals, so I 'forget' to give it to him...
He likes cold (or feels hot all the time): even asleep he takes his covers off as soon as I put them on him; he goes barefoot at home (even in Winter, otherwise when I take his shoes and socks off, they are wet and his feet are really hot).
He drinks a lot of water.
I (his mom) suffer from enviromental allergies but altough I sneeze everyday, it doesn't affect me in any other way, so I don't take any medicine for it. I get a funny reaction to the sun (headaches and sometimes vomit) but I was tested and don't have a serious condition. His grandfather (my dad) is severely allergic (to almost every food, to many materials (wool), to the environment)and asthmatic.
My son is bitting his nails now and he gets everything in his mouth (toys, etc.) and bites them (no straw last a whole drink).
Thank you for any help/advice you can provide me.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

Some of these questions may be redundant. Expand if you can or add if you have forgotten anything, but I will look at your previous post as well.

It is important to describe all his problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain. Since he is so young this may not be possible.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in his life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF HIS HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS HE HAS, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in his life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on him mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that he manages or deal with his problems, or any problems that occur in his life. Again at his age this may be fairly simple but just explain what you have observed in him.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in his behavior especially concerning his disease.

Discuss any part of his life where he seems stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of his disease, or as the disease evolved into new stages.

Describe the kind of environment your child is growing up in, with reference to his relationships with your family, his school or daycare experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that he craves (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that he craves or hates
3. What his sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects him
5. What kinds of things in the environment he is particularly sensitive to
6. What his general level of energy is like

I will probably have more questions for you after that.

I also need to know what homoeopathic remedies he has taken in the past, and what the results were.

Tell me anything that distinguishes him from other children.

What are his fears?

I had read questions before I posted my case, so I think almost everything is in my description.
He likes all food in general, specially hot dogs, tomatoes, mac and cheese and cookies, but I don't think he craves anything. He doesn't like potatoes (!!) and leafy vegetables, but he's 3 so that's not surprise.
His sleep is very restless: he moves a lot and wakes up (or at least sits up in the bed) several times a night.
He doesn't like heat (unless he's playing with water): in a very hot day he asks me to go back home.
He is very energetic. I don't have experience with kids as he's my only one, and I know kids this age have a ton of energy, but he can keep going forever. He loves to run and he's fast and doesn't get tired.
I think I added what was missing from my first post.
Thank you for helping.

The information is a good start, but there is more to gather. Homoeopathy is all about the details. You may want to have a look at such sites as Dr. Du Schepper's to understand what kind of information is needed to make confident homoeopathic prescriptions.

http://www.drluc.com/lecture-five.html

For example:

Sneezing - what makes it worse, what makes it better, what triggers it (apart from coughing)?

Itching - what makes it worse, what makes it better, what triggers it?

Coughing - apart from running, does anything else trigger it? what makes the cough worse (once it has started), what makes it better? What is the sound of the cough (be specific)?

What are the symptoms of his ear infections - give a description of how he gets, what symptoms, what makes it worse and better etc?

What were the symptoms of his bronchitis? Is there any similarity in the general way he was during this illness, as there was with the ear infections (mood, behaviour, fevers, energy, sleep - anything)?

Other than that I see we have the following symptoms (anything with Common next to it is not useful for making a remedy selection):

Nasal obstruction (Common)
Itchy eyes (Common)
Watery eyes (Common)
Sneezing during sleep
Better for cold
Kicks covers off in bed
Aversion to covering the feet
Hot feet (which part of the feet seem hot?
Perspiration of the feet?(I assume that is why the socks are wet)
Nail biting
Restless generally(Common), and during sleep
Desires to run
Averse to heat

So the questions that may be helpful to answer are:

Has anything had a lasting impact on him in his life, any event or experience?

Has he experienced all the natural benchmarks for growth and development at the right times and without and trouble?

How does he get on with other children?

How does he get on with animals?

How does he get on with other adults?

Does he show any kinds of fears?

Does he dream or have nightmares?

How is he with following instructions or being reprimanded?
