Ruta 6 as brain tumour treatment
What does anyone think about the reported use of Ruta 6 as a treatment for tumours? It does not seem that they are using it homeopathically, but it apparently 'induces death in brain cancer cells'. Here is the reference:oh, there's no edit/paste - how do I do that?? Here it is manually, hope no mistakes:

Brain Cancer Therapy: Ruta 6 Induces Selective Apoptosis in Glioma Cells
December 4, 2003
"Although conventional chemotherapies are used to treat patients with malignancies, damage to normal cells is problematic. Blood-forming bone marrow cells are the most adversely affected," scientists in the United States explained. "It is therefore necessary to find alternative agents that can kill cancer cells but have minimal effects on normal cells."
Towards this end, S. Pathak and colleagues at the University of Texas "investigated the brain cancer cell-killing activity of a homeopathic medicine, Ruta, isolated from a plant, Ruta graveolens."
"We treated human brain cancer and HL-60 leukemia cells, normal B-lymphoid cells, and murine melanoma cells in vitro with different concentrations of Ruta in combination with Ca3(PO4)2," they wrote in the International Journal of Oncology. "Fifteen patients diagnosed with intracranial tumors were treated with Ruta 6 and Ca3(PO4)2. Of these 15 patients, six of the seven glioma patients showed complete regression of tumors."
"Normal human blood lymphocytes, B-lymphoid cells, and brain cancer cells treated with Ruta in vitro were examined for telomere dynamics, mitotic catastrophe, and apoptosis to understand the possible mechanism of cell-killing, using conventional and molecular cytogenetic techniques," according to the report. "Both in vivo and in vitro results showed induction of survival-signaling pathways in normal lymphocytes and induction of death-signaling pathways in brain cancer cells. Cancer cell death was initiated by telomere erosion and completed through mitotic catastrophe events."
"We propose that Ruta in combination with Ca3(PO4)2 could be used for effective treatment of brain cancers, particularly glioma," the researchers concluded.
Pathak and coauthors published their study in the International Journal of Oncology (Ruta 6 selectively induces cell death in brain cancer cells but proliferation in normal peripheral blood lymphocytes: A novel treatment for human brain cancer. Int J Oncol, 2003;23(4):975-982).
For more information, contact S. Pathak, University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Molecular Genetics, Box 011, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030, USA.

David,
My wife with a glioblastoma multiforme, grade IV progression has used cesium chloride and Ruta 6 protocols for over 4 monts.
Her tumor in the last 8 weeks has reduced to 1/4 the previous volume.
Dr. Prasanta Banerji suggested to increase the dosage from 3 to 4 pills of each intake.
She is doing well but your alternative Ruta 6 protocol intrigues me.
How can i get that?

Luigi,
I would like to find out more about the Cesium Chloride and Ruta 6 Protocol. My brother has been diagnosed with the exact Glioblastoma Multiforme, grade 4 and I need to find out the formulations that you used and the formula by David36. How do I get in touch with you or David 36? This is a critical lifesaving matter.

My brother in law has a stage IV GBM. I'm interested in purchasing and trying a formula but confused as to which one. I've read all the posts but still do not see where to order. Could this be compounded at a pharmacy?

Ruta is 'Garden Rue', it can be used as spice and a leaf or two can be chewed.
So why not try it. It is available in most supermarkets.

Hi,
My cousin has Glioblastoma multiforme, and he has been under chemotherapy for a nearly a year now.
He's still struggling with the disease and we would like to try Ruta 6 as we have seen reports of it working well for brain tumour cases.
Below is a short description of his treatment so far:
- He was diagnosed with GBM affecting the dominant left parietal lobe.
- Follơed by RT and concurent TMZ from Jan 08 to March 08( 2 months).
- 26 Apr 08 headache and progressive aphasia.
- Treated with CPT11 and Avastin ( Avastin 600mg and CPT 11 200mg q 2 week x 3 doses per cylcle) starting in June 08.He tolerated treatment well, completing 4 cycles in Nov 08. He responded well and radiopraphically, sterioids was tapered off. He still on Keptra 250 mg( seizures in past). He stop chemo in Nov 08.Serial MRI between Oct 08 and Dec 08 and Feb 09 has been stable. But 30 Mar 09 he had headache and found it extremely hard to walk and talk.
- 01 Apr 09 he started Avastin and CPT 11 ( Avastin 400mg and CPT 11 100mg)..
Please advise us on whether we should try Ruta 6 and where should we get them (we're currently in Singapore).
We really appreciate your help.

as per the earlier posts, ruta-6 seems to be effective in treating cancer cases(brain tumour). What if somebody is having benign form of meningioma(non cancerous brain tumour)? Will Ruta-6 be effective? is there any possibility of benign tumour taking the form of malignant one?

My sister has a Grade-II Oligodendroglioma. She has undergone surgery, recently. Please let me know if Ruta-6 and Cal. Phos. is effective in her case.
Please also let me know what is the dosage of medicine per day and how long the treatment will be. (If Ruta pills are not available I'll have to get the tincture. Please let me know what will be equivalent dosage)
Thanks

I have just received an order for ruta 6 and calcarea phosphorica 9x. My husband has been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme IV. I heard today that graveolens cause brain tumor cells to enlarge. Is there anything to this? I need to know before I start his treatment. Also, the company was out of cal3x but they indicated 9 x would do fine & that Dr. Banerji has approved it. Any suggestions/ideas/comments?

Ruta grav 6c is a main remedy that the 3 generations of Mds
at the Banerji clinic have found to kill can-er cells.
You can be treated online by these drs. and do allopathic
treatment along with it or not. Go to pbhrfindia .org, they
have a 10,000 case databank and they are sharing info with the largest
USA can-cr hosp. MD Anderson in Texas. I have read 2 blogs of
USA people who were given up on with brain can-cr and were cured
by these Drs.

My husband has been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme IV and has decided not to go with conventional treatment. I received Dr. Banerji's Protocol today. He has said for serious cases to administer the ruta 6 and cal phos alternately every 3 hours. Does that mean 8 times in 24 hours or does it mean every 3 hours during waking hours? I've emailed him but as of yet no reply. Does anyone know? I'd like to start tomorrow.

I am a certified herbalist and I was using a large amount of herbs and a cleansing diet for my tumor. Even though I was using many immune enhancing herbs and cleansing juices, my immune system was totally haywire. I read about the Ruta/Calc Phos treatment online and used it for my brain tumor. Also I used Arnica and Conium. My immune system came back under control and my severe headaches/ severe facial neuralgia disappeared.

Hi White Rose,
Glad you are getting some results here. You know
you can get supervision on this at the pbhrfindia.org.
On the blogs I read where patients were cured-
had no more brain disease- they still were told
to take ruta 6c everyday, which they did for ( at
least one person) for a couple years after and then
decided they did not need to take it any longer.

As far as I know & understand, ruta-6c is as useless for brain tumour as using toothbrush instead of hairbrush. I personally know a few cases who used ruta-6c as per advice of the well known 'PRESCRIBER' of this protocol for 6-8 months with 'ZERO' results. I don't know why people can't differentiate between fake advertisements & the real healing protocols. Some people are preaching Arnica-6c & Nat Phos-6x as the miracle remedies for anything, including stomach ailments, heart diseases, chest infections & what not. I don't know what they actually try to prove by this.
The remedies that are actually beneficial for brain tumour are:
1- Calc Sulf-6x, 12x, 30x, 200x
2- Calc Carb 30c, 200c ,1000c,
3- Phosphorus-30c, 200c, 1000c
4- Silicea-6x, 12x, 30x, 200c, 1000c
5- Conium Mac-1000c
6- Arnica-200c
And a few other remedies in addition to the above list. But the final prescription should be made as per actual symptoms, the personality type & also including the bio-chemic salts of patient as per his/her date of birth. Brain tumour is curable in homeopathy but selection of right remedies in right potencies & at right time are the keys to success.

Asad

Asad,
are you saying here that the pbhrfindia. org and their clinic
is fake? And their work with the usa hospital is fake?
There was no advertisement on the blogs I read- I found
those blogs from doing research on other sites about
brain tumors and regular people sharing information with
each other and I came upon those by accident and there was
no link even to the pbhr site. They were not fake stories.
Those Drs. say they are not doing homeopathy in the
traditional way, they are focused on trying to use it
in an allopathic way. This is their focus and research
and they put their statistics right up front on their
site. I think they are certainly sincere in their exploration
of their methodology.

Hi Simone,
My previous post seams a direct reply to your comment, however that is not the case. Sorry for the confusing post which seams rude. I actually did not read any of the previous replies before posting my comment. And Yes I was referring to P Banerji's ruta-6c protocol. I don't believe on that at all as I know ruta is a remedy for something totally different & also know people who wasted their money in the hope of getting well from ruta-6c protocol. Also I see their advertisements everywhere, literally everywhere.
