7 week old infant in distress
My 7 week old daughter has been having problems with her digestion. She is exclusively breastfed and I have eliminated all spicy foods, garlic, dairy products, and caffeine.here are her symptoms:
1- sometimes cries and screams while trying to breastfeed. Will nurse furiously for a few minutes and then pull back arching her back and shaking her head while she cries then try to go back to the breast and root around as if she can't find the nipple even when it's IN her mouth. Sometimes I can get her calmed down by giving her a pacifier for a few minutes and then switching her back to the breast, but sometimes that doesn't work. This doesn't happen at every feeding there is NO pattern to when it occurs. Sometimes she'll be fine other times it will be a horrible feeding. Sometimes we'll be half way through what looks like a peaceful feeding and it will start again. different positions have no effect.
symptom 2- very gassy regardless of what I eat. I can hear her stomach rumbling and turning all the time.
Symptom 3- She doesn't have the normal breastmilk poo anymore. At first she did, it was yellow and seedy as it should be and then it went to green and mucousy and decreased in frequency. before her symptoms started she would poo almost everytime she ate and it wasn't painful for her. Now she'll only go once or so a day and it seems to be difficult for her. Also, again, it's green and mucousy, lacking the 'seedy' appearance of normal breastfed poo. very liquidy.
Symptom 4- Horrible spit-up/vomit, sometime projectile. Every time I lay her down to change her she throws up, even when at an incline. Whenever she is laid flat she throws up. sometimes even when help upright against my shoulder she still throws up. It seems to hurt her as well, she makes gasping choking noises while eating and when it seems that she was going to throw up but it didn't get all the way out.
symptom 5 (may or may not be related) she gets hiccups VERY frequently, far more than my other children.
She is on a three hour schedule during the day from the beginning of one feeding to the beginning of the next. Sometime we deviate from this depending on how she is doing. She wakes and eats, has a little time awake and goes down for a nap. she used to take good naps regularly but now it seems she is waking from pain.
Treatment thus far- I have given her some herbal tea (an ounce at most) made of chamomile, catnip, fennel, and ginger with a tiny bit of baking soda a few minutes before feeding. it seems to help.
I have read other posts about infants with this sort of issue but don't want to self-diagnose. I would appreciate some help from any Dr's who are available. I am far more interested in taking the remedy myself than in giving it directly to her but if a DR suggests it I may try it.
Thank you in advance for your help!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Let me start the therapy for your baby by giving you Nat Phos 6x which you will take 2 tablets about an hour before a feed. Many mothers who took this remedy which is very safe for both mother and baby have reported that it solved baby's gastric problems almost immediately.
The mother has a bonus in using it as it will reduce weight by up to 1kg per week.
Report how baby responds but if it does not help, you can give her half tablet dissolved in milk or water immediately after a feed.

I went to my local health store but they didn't have Nat Phos so I will order it. How many times would I try it and see if it helps before giving it directly to her if it doesn't?

You can take 2 Nat Phos 6x tablets 4 times in a day yourself and observe baby's response after a feed.
If she is OK after, you will not give it to her directly but otherwise you will.
You can order about 200 tablets if you wish to take it yourself to reduce your weight safely.
