intolerance to most food - ruining quality of life and health
FAO. Dr Nawazkhan (by recommndation on the allergy side) Symptoms:Whenever eating a normal meal with vegetables, after about 3-4 hrs, thirst sensations and lethargy occur. Vision can sometimes blur. If I cannot drink, normally something with more than just water so I can hydrate more easily, I start to lose attention span, get headachy. If I cant keep on top of the dehydration, it becomes nauseous, normally sharp pain focused around the eyes. If left longer, say go to bed as Im tired and sleep. I will fever with substantial sweating. If the headache hasnt gone and has got worse, I may be too exhausted to get up and drink, leading to shaking and eventual vomiting. It is normally vomiting but not of the last meal, usually liquid as the meal has passed further down the gut. This normally occurs when I have had a few days of eating normally and I am constantly in a state of dehydration used up any reserve. My guts are active and noisy. I pass loose, heavy, bulky stools when hydrated, but constipated when I get to nasty headache stage. I am definitely wheat intolerant and feel griping pain as it passes all through the gut. I do have a bit of a sweet tooth as this is mainly where I get instant energy from chocolate as fruit is difficult too. This also helps I get horrible mood swings and is a bit of a crutch.
I do suffer from IBS, but I have that in check and can control it to a reasonable degree. This feels different, and has happened in the last few years. I have tried eating meal slowly, stimulating the salivary glands to try and help with digestion as I believe the problem is in the lower gut. A kinesiologist was able to locate the area around the beginning of the large intestine by saying it doesnt recognise food as food, and has a problem clearing.
Currently I eat fish, chicken, turkey and rice, a few green herbs to flavour, butter, nuts and sunflower seeds, soft cheese for oils, apples and bananas. I am dairy intolerant, but can manage a little cheese and butter. I dont feel well 50% of the time, simply as I try to live a normal life and the demands and social events seem to dictate this. I dont seem to fair well with potatoes or corn either.
I suffer from poor circulation in my hands and feet, recently I have tingling sensations in both. I never really feel hungry, or full. Previously I have seen a nutritionalist as I was very thirsty, drinking up to 8 litres a day on a vegetarian diet (for 15 years) where I lacked adequate protein and the demands of my activities half marathons and football started to put pressure on other organs kidneys and thyroid (overactive). Supplements and herbs have rectified this, removed the yeast problem and the alcoholic fermentation.3 years ago I relented and eat meat simply as the veg now does not seem to tolerate me. I stopped drinking (light and infrequent), and take a multi vit and mineral with fish oils.
I feel trapped, up against a wall where doctors tell me its all my mind and its IBS. Im reluctant to eat, fed up with the chore of having the small few things and miss the amazing tastes and variety of normal food.
Is there something else I can do ?

Dear Nawaz,
I'm sorry. It is probably the tiredness, from not reading things properly.
As far as I could tell, there didnt seem to be a response.
I took a dose today, about 2 hrs ago.
I'm tired in my mind by the frustration of this sickness. Physically tired simply from the negetive response to foods and being in a constant state of recovery. My muscles ache, I'm thirsty, have a constant aftertaste on my tongue, I feel sick and headchy if I dont drink, my eyes are dry and itchy. I am allergic to pollen. I sleep, but not for long periods of time. I fever sometimes during sleep, waking up in copious sweat. My skin itches, and is dry and sore to touch on my face. I crave sugary foods, but too much will make my teeth ache. I have heart palputations, exaggerated by eating cheese. sometime monments when I just need to breathe.
My throat seems to have a lump or swell when I am having a reaction to food- dehydration?. I have symptoms of thrush, when I have my period, which was early again by a week.
I have a response to wheat, eggs, hazelnuts, oringinally capsicum peppers and the tomatoe family became a 'food problem' but gradually more and more food became highlighted. I have a problem with vinegar and cured/ smoked foods. my veins feel achy / constricted... acidic? my joints hurt -elbows, ankles. my body is heavy and is pushed to do exercise. I lose weight quickly, have a slim build. I have ashoulder and neck problem. my sinuses/ears ache
I'm not particularly stressed, my situatuon is not very stressful. I have unexplained waves of anxiety which I keep in check with aspen bach flower remedy. I suffer moodswings from everything is great to life is pointless. I'm constantly moving, but not a figit. I find it difficult to physically relax, only in sauna or asleep. My attention span is not brilliant - I will nod sleepily in a meeting longer than half an hour if I dont participate.
I'm not sure what else I can write.
Thanks
Tess
