The ABC Homeopathy Forum
Fibromyalgia
Hello,I have Fibromyalgia. I have been to a homeopath who gave me natrum mur 30c in tablet form to take once a week. My pain was improving. As my appointment is in three weeks time and I ran out of the natrum mur, that my homeopath gave to me, I purchased some the other day in the same potency in tablet form. I took one tablet last week and now my pain has returned which is constant all the time. I have tried taking my usual supplements which are magnesium, 5-htp but they are not helping the pain which is a burning sensation. Also about two weeks ago, I took another homeopathic remedy Glonion 30c in pill form. Any advice would be helpful.coreyc on 2012-04-29

what happened when you took nat mur
the first time?
did you have an aggravation first ( appearance of old things getting a
bit worse? and then improve?
or did you just have instant improvement?

When I took Natrum Mur the first time, improvement was gradual. In the first and second week's, I had a detox effect. In the third week, I had low back pain straight after taking it, which lasted for a day. In week 4 and 5, my pain started to improve. In week 6 I took the natrum mur on Tuesday 24th April. The pain returned on Thursday 26th April and has been constant. I am having trouble sleeping at night because of the pain.

Well it sounds like it is working
and you need to go to a higher
potency.
What was the method of taking it?
Were you taking it dry pellets? and then
tabs?
Or a wet dose and shaking the bottle?
Did you take the Glonion 30 c before
the natrum stopped working?Bc doing
that could cancel out the Nat Mur.

I have been taking the Natrum Mur in dry tablets. I was taking the Glonion 30c in pills in weeks 4 and 5 but stopped taking it because I got the pain when I took it.

don't know why you were taking
the glonion 30 c- whether you decided
to take it on your own?
But it sounds like it did something
to the nat mur?
I would call the homeopath and tell
them what you did and ask if you
can then change the potency of the
nat mur or whatever has to be done
there. I would not wait the 3 weeks.
obviously it was working.Also many
homeopaths prefer doing a wet dose
where you drop two drops into
a dropper with some water and
shake the bottle ( there are many
methods of this wet dosing that
keeps the remedy slightly different
and then the body responds more
bc it does not seem like the same
exact thing.

The homoeopath would have given you a set number of doses. It was a mistake for you to start changing that treatment plan by extending the number of doses. It is important for you to not do this, as you do not understand all the guidelines we have for dosage. You have also now complicated the problem by taking a new remedy. This is inappropriate behaviour for a patient, and it is vital that you do not alter any aspect of your treatment without first consulting your homoeopath.
