please help we need sleep
We have tried Nat Phos and has not done anythying. Please let us what to do next. Here is his background. My son is 11 months old and is up frequently throughout the night. He awakes almost every hour and at some points during the night he is up for a few hours. He is so restless during sleep and can almost never go into a deep sleep. When I think that he is asleep, I will put him down and not a minute later he will pop up again wide eyed and then I try the entire process again of nursing him, rocking or walking for a while, and then putting him back down once asleep.Normally, he will take 3 naps during the day for 30 minutes at a time. Sometimes he will wake up screaming and is very gassy. My husband and I have tried everything every sleep training method, been to two pediatrician and an ENT, tried natural insomnia remedies, tried Melatonin, blood work, and on and on.
I breastfeed and he will only nurse to sleep. He does not eat well. He texture issues and will gag on table and finger foods. He will only eat the stage 2 foods. He seems to be teething now so eating is worse than ever. Sometimes I will have to put yogurt in his food just so he will eat.
Recently, we have discovered that he is anemic so for the past few days we have been giving him iron supplements. He is a different baby during the day now. Usually he will want to take a nap after just 2 hours of being awake and now he can go 3 to 4. But is still only napping for 30 to 40 minutes at a time. Nights are the same as described above no change.
We are very desperate and need help.
