Antidote ars alb 200 urgent
My 6 years old son was prescribed ars alb 200 everyday once for a week atleast for minor flu. I was told to repeat it if the symptoms come again.On and off I have been giving it to my son for the past one month because everyone has gotten flu around us.
Last night he woke with right eye pain complain . It's so severe that he is crying with pain and doesn't even open his eye. I just got a glance and looks all red and a little bigger.
Please help with an antidote

Please give him a single dose of Nux Vomica 200 and see how that affects.

Can ars-alb give such severe reaction? Is it because it was continued for a month? Are there certain types that react this way? Please can someone explain what happened in this case? Thanks.

It may be. Nux will antidote ars and provide relief if it is due to ars. But other people who are on ars need not worry.

Definitely overdosing Arsenic Album can cause this problem. Repetition of high potency homoeopathic remedies can sometimes lead to serious consequences but unfortunately most of the people are not aware of it. Hopefully Dr. Kadwas prescription will help but it will take some time for the boy to be free of the adverse effects of Arsenicum. If the improvement does not start within 24 hours of taking the remedy, the patient must see an allopathic doctor.

Thanks for your post. A family member of mine was prescribed Ars-Alb 200C every 3 hours for one month and then once every day after that, now he is on the 2nd month of once every day. Could this pose any problem? Thanks for your help.

It depends on the sensitivity of the individuals. Some patients may not react to even frequently repeated doses of a remedy but it is unbelievable that a homoeopath will prescribe such a high potency of Arsenic Album for so long period of time. Homoeopaths give placebo in between the actual doses of a medicine, which might be the case here. But if it is true that the actual medicine is being repeated so frequently, then perhaps your family member needs to look for another homoeopath.

Whenever he wokeup with pain, he washed his eye himself with warm water and would not let me touch it and after that he slept. He said keeping his eyes closed made him feel better so i let him do that.
Now that swelling is gone, should i still seek medical attention?
I have nux 200 now. Should i give him that ?
Also can i use ars alb 200 as flu prevention?

Don't give him anything if he is feeling better just wait. Don't give him ars. 200 as the doses you gave him are enough even for future. Don't give him nux 200 if he is feeling better. Vital force of a child is too powerful to over come any effects caused by remedies, it will clear up any effects in time. Now you should give a gap of at least 1-2 weeks or more.
