How many remedies have you tried?

I was wondering how many remedies any of you have tried before moving on to the next? I have tried 4 so far with my doctor and still have yet to find one that helps. Each one seemed so fitting for me- especially one of them- and none helped. Is there a point in continuing? Any hope at all? Can it often take many tries to find the right one?
