Chronic flu , catarrh in children
My six year old daughter is having cold flu (nasal catarrh)for last one year. Most of the time her voice is nasal (as in blocked nose, especially in the morning). On cleaning nose, transparent mucus type fluid comes out.
We have tried many medicines (aloepathic) but no benefit.
Other complaints and symptoms are as follows:
Loss of appetite.
Little consumption of water (often avoids water).
Often complains false urge of urine and tries to avoid the urine.
Sometimes redness or creamy liquid is found around urethra.
Has constipation. Feels the urge to go for stool but often comes back without doing it. I don't know whether it is false urge, or she is afraid or having some other problem.
Having eyesight problem according to opthalmologist (prescribes -2 number glasses), but she never complains of it , goes to school normally and we never felt eyesight problem with her.
She is also very sensitive, nervous and afraid.
Overall, with all these problems her growth rate is slow as compared to my younger daughter.
I am an expat, living in Moscow. The winter is extreme cold here and life is dull. The summer is pleasant and full of lively activities. I have noticed that all her symptoms appear in winter and vanish in summer.
We have undergone lengthy medical checkups and follow ups with no diagnosis. Finally doctors advise to give her more water and much food but she does not like water and also little inclined towards foods.
I will be very grateful if you could advise me on this matter.

Dear Sir,
I gave the following medicine to my daughter for two weeks:
1. Silica-200 (200c) 6 pills in morning
2. Merc Sol-200 (200c) 6 pills in evening
Observation is as under :
During the 1st week appetite increased, she ate and drank well. We felt improvement in health.
During and by the end of second week, she again suffered from loss of appetite along with complaint of constipation, attempt to avoid stool and small amount of black colored , hard and sheep dung like stool after two days interval.
No significant change was felt in Flu during course of medicine however now the flu has become thick and something like greenish yellow ( with small amounts of blood mixed occasionally).
Please advise me what to follow next.
Thanks a lot in advance.
