The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Help with Causticum dosage

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums here, and new to homeopathy in general. I've done just a few hours research on the subject in general, and in doing so found the Causticum profile to fit me very closely, both physically and mentally.

So, I picked up some 30c at a local health store and began taking 3 tablets 1x per day. I definitely noticed a difference in how I felt, particularly mentally and emotionally. I have gone up to 2x per day, today being my 4th day on the remedy.

Physically I have delt with chronic problems for the past year or so with Lyme and Candida infections, I am suspicious of parasites as well. A couple of questions I have in relation to this...

1. Should I try going up to a 200C dose since my issues have been more chronic?

2. Would it be okay and beneficial to work on cleansing out potential parasites and toxins with herbs?

3. I have used Bach flower remedies in the past, would it be okay to take them in conjunction with a primary remedy like Causticum?

I'm just a little lost in the dark here with these, being new to the subject in general, I would really appreciate some advice if possible.

Thanks so much. I really am fascinated by homeopathy so far.

One thing you need to know about homeopathy is when you
have a reaction, good or bad to a remedy, you stop the remedy
and let it work and don't take more unless things go backward or
plateau. If you take more you overdose and bring back symptoms.

The remedy when correctly matched, is only an activator of your
own life force to clear the problems. Above 12x potency there is
only a water molecule imprint.

One cannot prescribe for themselves on chronic issues. No one
is neutral enough and you will get stuck. You can match acute
symptoms to remedies and resolve those things.

Don't work on clearing anything 'potential' get the evidence. Herbs
can be dangerous.

Some homeopaths prescribe Bach flowers along with remedies,
some don't care if you take them, some don't want you to take
them when doing remedies.

Let Zady supervise you on all of this.

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?
I'd say fatigue and an overall low energy and vitality for life.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
I have a lot of fatigue and pains in my body. Nerve pain, muscle twitching, brain fog, sore joints and ligaments, sleeplessness, chronic cough and postnasal drip in throat, bloating, some acne, middle ear infections, sensitivity to carbs

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
frustration, irritability, crying very easily, lack of consistency, up and down emotionally, obsession to get well

tired, irritable, over thinking everything. I start to become obsessed with finding a solution to get better. The symptoms mentioned above are also present.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
About 2 years ago. Likely some toxic exposure from a house, possibly meth. Additionally there was the stress of moving and starting new work. I ended up with a Candida overgrowth that has mostly been eradicated.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Mid-afternoons

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Prayer and Bible reading have helped a lot. Lack of sleep aggravates it.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
Yes, some stress in moving and starting a new job, a new life. Also, I have had Candida, possibly Lyme according to one doctor, and I am suspicious of parasites since we have a dog and I used to eat sushi fairly often.

Warmer is better

Haven't noticed a difference

Yes, I have very keen senses.

Fears of not getting well, not being able to get out and build a life, be social, build strong friendships, and support my family well. Fearful of not being able to live an enjoyable life. Yes, but my sex drive is very low.

I should also mention that I am quite sensitive to chemicals and perfumes. I believe a lot of my symptoms are due to a lack of full detoxification. Thanks very much, looking forward to your reply.

1) fatigue and pains in my body:
How did this happen?
Overall my energy and vitality is quite low, although it is better than has been in the past. I am still able to work during most days, but just feel dragged down. It's definitely made worse when I don't sleep well. For the pains, I get a lot of odd, short and sharp pains in random places in my chest or abdomen. Like a quick stab of some sort that only lasts for a second or two. I also experience little pinprick sensations that move randomly on my body, almost like tiny little flea bites in random locations all over, in my eyes at times.
When did this happen?
It can happen at any time, and I am always sore in my joints and ligaments, but these specific pains come mostly at night
What are the pain locations?
abdomen, chest, hips, legs, feet,
Anything that makes fatigue better?
Good sleep helps, Iodine and B vitamins also help considerably, as well as ashuaghanda

2) Nerve pain, muscle twitching:
How did this happen?
The nerve pain seems to be connected with the ligaments and joints, I do get sciatica pains occasionally, and occasionally I will experience some numbness in my toes. The muscle twitching is pretty much constant on some level. At best, there will be little ticks and twinges in my muscles around my body. At night it seems to be worst, especially in my legs.
When did this start?
About 6 months ago, when we were living in a house we believed was contaminated with drugs
What are the locations of nerve pain?
sciatica, also the forearms and wrists, carpal tunnel type pains
Anything that triggers it?
Exercising for the sciatica, or sitting out of posture. Also lifting anything heavy will trigger pain in the forearms and wrists
Twitching lications?
legs, shoulders and arms primarily
Twitchings are left sided or right sided?
Both sides

3) brain fog
What exactly happens.
Since when?
At times it can be difficult to think clearly and quickly, although this has greatly improved since I've been taking Lufenuron for Candida. When it used to happen, I felt like my brain just ran incredibly slow, not it feels more like a malaise and mental fatigue.

4)sore joints and ligaments,
How did this happen?
I tend to always be a little sore in my hips especially, also in my knees and shoulders. It's difficult to sleep on one side for too long because of it. I believe it is due to toxic buildup from the infections.
When did this start?
What are the locations?
shoulders, hips, knees, wrists. Also a little pain in the hands and finger joints
What makes it better or worse?
I've taken turmeric for it and it does seem to help the swelling some. Overuse, sleeping and exercise aggravates it.

5) chronic cough and postnasal drip in throat:
How did this happen?
Not sure, it started light, and when antibiotics failed, I just decided to live with it.
When did this start?
Color and type of mucous?
It's usually yellow and fairly thick, but since I do nasal irrigation often it's much thinner and usually white now.

6)bloating:
When does this happen?
After I eat starchy carbs, which I limit in my diet. Also when I eat too much animal protein. I avoid dairy completely as I always get bloated from it. Acidophilus probiotics also make me bloat
How long has this problem been there?
About 2 years

7) middle ear infections:
When did this happen?
About 2 years ago it started
What exactly happens?
It's like a chronic low grade infection in both ears, it just sits there and doesn't go away. It isn't painful during the day, but at night my ears become sore, and there is a little bit of drainage occasionally.

8) any other impt issues
All these issues started about 4 or 5 years ago, and have just built up over time.

I hope my answers are sufficient here. Thanks very much.

Thuja 6C

Dissolve 1 drop/2 pills in 3 tablespoons water, stir a few times and drink. Do this twice everyday for 5 days and update me.

Use a disposable cup and spoon. You can use same disposable cup multiple times.

Progress will be slow.

Aseem,

got to the front of forum, above
first post, click button Post New Topic.
and post your question on your own
thread.

You sound like you are self prescribing and the remedy may
be wrong, you may be taking it too often, but you need your
own thread to discuss.
