Speech Delay, ADHD and Sensory issue of a four year old. Please help!s

1 Describe your main suffering?
My 4 year old boy has been diagnosed with sensory issues and ADHD. He also has a speech delay. He gets distracted very easily and loses focus very easily. He has speech delays, especially around social interactions. He is having speech therapy along with ABA that seems to be helping but overall delayed. Has difficulty with concepts – under/over/in/my/yours/what/where/when questions. Mild fine motor skills delay. He does not speak full sentences for eg.. he will look at our car and say Papa car. Then I would have to repeat it several times to make him say “ papa ki car hai” Otherwise he is pretty aware of the surroundings for e.g. he would see our bank anywhere we go and recognise it. He also has logical reasoning so if he sees rain, and I ask him what do we do now? He will reply umbrella. He is pottly trained and has a good sleep routine. There are nights when he would wake up crying and we then become unable to find out why he is crying. He also tries to put everything in his mouth. He smells everything and has this habit of pinching. He becomes very happy seeing other children and in school he tries to pull their cheeks or pinch them which causes a lot of issues. He loves playing cricket. I have recently started playing football with him for his balance.
He had a natural birth. He was in the NICU for few hours as he has ingested some of my blood.
2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

a) He has a weak immune system and has a tendency to catch cough cold very frequently.
b) He has been recently diagnosed with adenoids for which allopathy nasal spray nasonex is being given to him for past one week. Due to the adenoids he is unable to breathe from his nose and breathes from his mouth and that also causes disturbance in his sleep.
c) He has been tested recently for allergies and has no usual allergies apart from banana, orange, almonds and eggs
d) He cannot jump. He tries to, when asked however all he can manage is go on his toes and come back on full foot.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
He is scared/ shy of meeting new people. He starts pulling my hair when he meets any of my friends in the market.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
At his worst, he cries a lot, at times he would try to pinch or bite too during crying. Sometimes he becomes very indecisive and would carry on crying. For e.g. he will cry to wear blue t shirt and then I when I try to put on blue t shirt he will cry for red, when I try to put on red t shirt. He will cry for blue again. Normally he is a happy child and Is not shy with people he is comfortable with like my group of close friends.
5.When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
Aound 18 months when I starting seeing a difference between him and the other children. He was late to walk and talk. His father spoke late at 3.5 years. He got all immunizations on time. I took flu shot while pregnant. He was born with few allergies like Milk, vit A etc and I got him treated in Mumbai for these allergies through an alternative treatment called NAET. He can drink milk and all this other allergies were treated. This was when he was 10 months old, he had started babbling papapa and bababa then... but all that reduced slowly.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
no time preference.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Doing something he is not wishing to do. He gets better or distracted when I show him my phone or we talk about someone he likes for e.g. his baby cousin or his teachers etc.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
We travel to places and live in good hotels, he does not throw tantrums. But there are times he would just be out of control at a relative’s place where they would have a young child and he would keep pinching or hugging that child very tight. That at times becomes very embarrassing and we have had to leave early so many times. He loves watching TV, Mickey mouse is his favourite he enjoys music and recognises songs before they start. He tries to sing by saying one word but cannot speak full sentences. He enjoys painting especially finger painting. He does not do much of colouring and has difficulty colouring within the lines. He has never shown interest in blocks. He knows many rhymes. How I know this is because he tries to sing a word of two out of the sentence and at times repeats the gestures. He also loves playing on his tablet, he can use the tablet like a pro. We have downloaded rhymes and other kid cartoons on his tablet which he loves watching.. There are times when I have to call him several times to make him do something. But there are also times when he just listens and follows my commands in first go.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
No preference. His body temperature is generally on warmer side.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

Always moving ( even if he is watching his favourite cartoon, he would have his legs moving), Polite, Distracted, Wavering mind, Moody, does not sustain interest in any activity for long.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
No severe reaction, he closes his ears if there are loud noises.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
If he goes out in the sunlight he squints his eyes for a minute but then is normal, he closes his ears if there are loud noises. He has a habit of smelling everything

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
None of the above however, He keeps moving ( and by moving not from one place to the other but he doesn’t sit still). He is always distracted for e.g.if he is watching his favourite cartoon show, he would touch the remote, change his place, ask for water ( there are no gestures like flapping etc.)

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
He loves his parents and is very comfortable with the entire family ( grand parents, cousin brother, uncle, aunt and 2 maids) Loves his cousin brother ( 5months elder to him). Always want to hold him. He is comfortable with other children of his age but he enjoys or wants attention of the older kids. However, he does not know what a structured play is. But he enjoys having other kids around. However, ends up biting or pulling cheeks or hugging too tightly (never in aggression) which results in the other child crying and that makes zubaer sad. But it does not change his behaviour. There are many times he would repeatedly say sorry if he the child cries. He is also very particular about the family members belongings and is very possessive about his grandmother. Would not let the other cousin sit in her lap

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
Speaks and moves a lot during sleep. Dreams I cannot say, as he does not speak that much

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
Recently started eating chicken which he enjoys hence asks for it. Otherwise he likes Rice, French fries, toffees and chips. He also loves sweets. He is a fussy eater. Does not eat everything that is offered to him.
13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal or below normal

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?

No or can’t say ( Now we have started eliminating the eggs, banana almonds and oranges from his diet since we discovered his recent allergies with them. Even when these food items were given, there wasn’t any drastic effect of them.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Normal , Head sweats the max

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Regular

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
Needed to be sang and patted to sleep till 3 years old. Now I have to lie on the bed with him. He asks to switch off the lights and have one night lamp turned on. Speaks in dream sometimes and move around a lot.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
NA

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
NA

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
He gets sick very often with cold/flu, low immunity hence give him the usual allopathic medication like calpol (for fever), bricanyl (cough) at times some antibiotics also like Duet for severe cough . Diagnosed with Vit D deficiency. Now we give him multi vitamin.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Parental side has high BP, heart condition. Mother side has diabetes, Asthma

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance
Zubaer has wheatish complexion and below average weight. His height is average. He has a birthmark on his lower back very light greenish color.

He has been going to pre-school for last one year and I have always been told that he does not sit in the class, has short attention span. Always tries to bites or pinch other children (again never in aggression, maybe just to get their attention) does not speak much however tries to mingle with other children of the class and tries to get their attention.
He has started his formal school for past two days and I am very worried. I want my child to have a normal happy healthy life. The following are my main concerns
1. Speech delay
2. Attention deficiency
3. Biting pinching
4. Social interaction
I would really appreciate any help/guidance in this matter.

Thanks in Advance

A very worried mother

Dr Mohla,
I have given my son the above mentioned medicines. However I have not seen any change in the language or attention. Initially, when I started with the medication for a couple of days the biting reduced. But then it was back to how it was earlier.

Please suggest what should I do?

He has started formal school and the teacher complaints that he doesn't sit in the class for more than 5 minutes. Keeps moving around or goes out. He doesn't interact with the teacher or the children( he can speak words but is unable to make sentences. However, in school he is not even doing that) also doesn't do as the teacher asks him to. He gets homework but he doesnt sit down or concentrate for more than 2 minutes. Making him learn something new is also a mission. So we are struggling from every aspect:language, attention, cognitive and hitting .

Please suggest what should I do next?

Thank you so much in Advance

Regards,
Nimisha

Out of the known causes of Autism, that are-

-Mental trauma before or after birth.

-Over dominating parenting and verbal or physical abuse over the child.

- Toxic effects of heavy metal vapour inhalation.

- Genetic factors.

- Side Effects of immunisation.

You have to reflect and find out the most probable cause of autism of your child.

Things become simple if the cause is known.

Hi Dr Mohla.

Thank you for replying.

I have a few questions:
1. I was giving white chest nut earlier. Is white chestnut larch different from white chest?

2. Can they be given in globules? if yes, how many as one dose?

3. Can I give him any other homeopathy/allopathy medicines along with these medicines? ( for cough/cold/fever/)

4.He has been diagnosed with adenoids. Would you be able to suggest some medicines for that too please?

5.How long do I continue this medication and report to you sir?

Many Many Thanks to you sir for taking out your precious time and replying

Regards,
Nimisha

He looks to be a Phosphorus child. He moves a lot. He holds and hugs people but is considerate. He is afffected by external stimuli. He wants change.

Calcarea children do not show that much movement while playing or sitting and watching TV. They just sit quietly without even moving their leg.

Head sweats in both cases. Calcarea children have a strong sour smell in their sweat. They have an inclination to chew chalk, soil, cement etc.

Looking at all you have written, if the etiology is not known, try one dose of PHOSPHORUS 200C.

Hi Rishimba,

Can you elaborate on what you mean by phosphorous child. He has not been diagnosed with Autism, if it is for that.

I am worried mother and hence do not wish to leave any stone un-turned.
I am planning to go ahead with Dr Mohla's treatment. However since that would go on for three months and you have suggested just one dose. I am thinking I should give yours a try first and then i can always start Dr Mohla's treatment

What does one dose mean? how many globules?
what do I do after that? how many days of observation?
Can I start with the other homeopathy and Bach flower meds soon after this?

Please reply at the earliest.
I have received the medicines today and would like to start the treatment as soon as possible

regards,

Nimisha

You can check with one dose of PHOSPHORUS 200C if his mental symptoms are improving a bit. If phosphorus produces a response, you can go for this treatment and give him infrequent doses.

I feel phosphorus will help him better than calc carb because his mentals and generals are typical of a phosphorus child.

One dose would be 3 drops of remedy in some 10 ml of water just one dose on a single. He should have the dose in empty stomach first thing in the morning and then get back to sleep for another 2 hours so that doesn't end up eating, drinking or rinsing his mouth.

I would suggest to you to buy liquid remedy from a reputed manufacturer like Boiron, Reckeweg or Helios etc.

HI Rshimba,

Many Thanks for replying!

I had already ordered phosphorous 200c which has come in globules. I will try for the liquid one tomorrow. if not then can I give him the globules? how many?
Also I feel globules would be better as those I can administer when he is sleeping and wouldn't have to worry about him eating or anything.

Is phosphorous 200 same as phosphorous 200c?

Shall I give it 1 week and then report for any changes?

We are facing a lot of issues at school because of his attention deficit, hitting and speech delay. I really hope this treatment works!

Regards,

Nimisha

Phosphorus 200C is the same as Phosphorus 200.

Give him just one or two doses, each dose 30 minutes apart only on a single day.

Wait and watch his mental changes for the next one week. If he changes for good, next dose will be PHOSPHORUS 1M after about 2 weeks.

Since he belongs to the tuberculinum miasm, intercurrent doses of Tuberculinum 1M may be required if Phosphorus stops showing results.

What is the brand of the remedy? Is the remedy made by a reputed manufacturer or did you get it from your local homeopathy shop?

I suggest you should always go for a branded and packed stuff.

What is the diameter of the globules like?
