Acute for four year old cough please

Please could I have advise on a remedy for a child with a cough.
He did have croup I gave hepar sulph and this helped this was a couple of days ago. Now he has a cough which sounds wet but not loose if that makes sense. He's better outside, he doesn't cough much whilst eating. Very snotty without a running nose. The mucus is very clear from the nose, eating and drinking as normal
He is complaining of his throat hurting from coughing .

The cold resulting from getting chilled I did try aconite in the beginning with no luck
Many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Describe his personality, behavior and overall mental make up?

What makes the cough better and what makes it worse?

Hi his he is very cuddly. He generally is a well behaved boy but can be quite cheeky and mischievous. He can be stubborn over some things and other things he will not be stubborn at all.
He loves water but is very sensitive to cold. If he gets in the paddling pool even on a really got day he will still shiver and get cold very quickly. He is very slim and tall. Mousey coloured hair with blue eyes.
The cough is much better when he's asleep. Before he sleeps he coughs every minute or so. Sometimes dry and then the wet sounding noise but not loose. He is much worse for coughing once he wakes in the morning and will have a lot of mucous from the nose. He does suffer with bad ears quite often and pulsatilla helped him well last time
Also the cough is definitely better outside and worse upon going inside plus eating lessens the cough also.

Please let me know if need anymore info many thanks

I have been looking over all the posts you have made about your son. It seems you have been running in circles giving one remedy for this, another for that, changing them often without any change to the chronic pattern of his illness.

He really does need proper constitutional treatment, rather than this sort of 'putting out spot fires' that is being done. I know that people have tried, but it is important that you continue the search for a deep acting miasmatic remedy. Otherwise I believe you will keep going around in circles like this, treating one thing and then another, with the same things coming back over and over again.

I know I realise what you're saying. I have tried in the past but had no joy with homeopaths in my area. I now can't afford one at present.
I can't really rely on getting all the help in the forums as have has bad luck with homeopaths disappearing and u worry if u need help with him u won't get it when I need it.
I don't worry with my other son but this son is so so sensitive to homeopathy and I'm sure simone can vouch for that.
One dose is usually enough two sends him over the edge. We've had 200c of remedies making him really poorly.
if you read through the post with brisbane I can possibly remember he wanted him to have 200c drosera or to repeat the 30c which in my gut I knew i ccouldn't do and one dose aggravated the symptoms quite strongly and by day three after taking drosera his whooping cough was completely gone this was one dose only.I have since discovered he is much better if the remedy is disolved in water we get far much less of any kind of reaction or aggravation or what ever it was. I have heard repeated doses usually soften the symptoms but not in my sons case :)

I looked at those posts. While it may be that the remedy was indicated back then, there is no reason to think it is the correct remedy now, or that it will be his deep-acting constitutional remedy.

Repeated doses do NOT soften the symptoms, they worsen them. Every homoeopath knows (or should know) that. Never ever repeat a remedy during an aggravation. This can harm the patient.

I am not sure what to suggest. I can take the case if you like - I don't have any plans to go anywhere but I suppose that will always be an issue with using forums.

He seems to be a PHOSPHORUS child. If you want this bout of cold to be cured, give him one or two doses of Phosphorus 200C on a single day.

Otherwise, you can give his case to Evocationer.

Hi I only have 30c in my kit. He is also super sensitive to all homeopathy and cannot take 200c this you have to believe me on. My other son is fine with smy potency but this one so so sensitive.
Can I give a 30c?
When you say a . phosphorus child do you mean his constitutional remedy or for this acute?
Many thanks for responding

Based on your inputs, he looks to be constitutionally a phosphorus child. However, I can't be sure 100% as I have not seen him or taken the full case.

If he is sensitive to homeopathic potencies, give him 30C one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. That's all.

Wait and watch the progress in the next 48 hours. If he responds to Phosphorus 30C, the phlegm will start getting more fluid and get expectorated in higher quantities. This may take as long as 48 hours to produce a response, so don't get impatient and start him on another remedy.

Hi Rishimba

I didn't get your message until I finished work.my son hasn't had the remedy yet and the cough has eased dramatically.
He's still snotty and the very occasional cough.
Shall I go ahead and give it to prevent it going to his ears as this sometimes happens.
Many thanks

If he is recovering, there's no need of any remedy.

In case the cough goes to his ears, you should give him PULSATILLA 200C one dose.
