Intermittent Headache of 7 year child

ANS. 7, female, tall, slender, Bangladesh

2. Main complaints and other associated troubles.
a)Where is the trouble; The exact locality of the complaint like hands,legs etc; duration of trouble.
ANS. Head; suffering from one and half month. Pain lasts for 5-10 minutes.
b)What exactly do child feels, Sensation as pain, how pain feels or burn etc, according to you.
ANS. Just pain. It occurs sometimes at back of head, sometimes at front, sometimes at left or right side, but always at small portion of head. And lasts for 5-10 minutes. It does not occur at whole head at a time. Sometimes during headache, eyes become slight red. When she runs, the back head pains.. Even during pain, she does everything in normal.
c)What are the factors that causes this trouble according to you.
ANS. Not sure. However, her mother used to use mosquito coil at night in the room she slept, with door closed, for the last few years. The smoke of the mosquito coil used to fill room and we know that such smoke of coil is not good for health. Can this be a cause? But, this is only our assumption.
I initially thought it might be due to study pressure; but final exam is over some 20 days ago, but headache still occur intermittently.
d)Condition under which the complaint is reduced or child feels better like, cold or hot application, cold or hot weather,position as standing,walking,rest etc.
ANS. Better from rest, worse from running.
e)Condition under which the complaint is increased like,cold or hot application,cold or hot weather,position as standing,walking,rest etc.

ANS. Probably she has hernia at lower abdomen area.
g)Onset time of troubles in detail, i.e which came first, after that what problem and so on.
ANS. It first occurred when one day she was playing in school. That time she felt pain at back of head. Headache occurs at any time: noon, afternoon, evening, sometimes at night.
h)Treatment method adopted and its result.
ANS. A local homeopath’s medicine was used, no improvement. An allopath gave a cefradine, a paracetamol, and a fexofenadine syraps, but no considerable improvement.

3. History of diseases in family.
ANS. Her father has moderate acidity problem.

4. Personal History.

ANS. Childhood passed in a nice situation.

ANS. Good.

ANS. Generally good sleep. Some dreams: of cartoons, sometimes some fearful dreams.
Wakes at 8-8.30 am. Wakes naturally. No choice about window being open or closed.

ANS. She sweats easily at sleep if covered with cloth.

14. Weather
a)Tolerance to heat and cold, dryness, humidity, weather changes, sun,
foggy weather, wind drafts, closed rooms, etc.
ANS. She says she likes cold (I’m not sure). Not so easily affected by cold weather.

15. Mental Status
a) Were there any complications at birth?
ANS. No.
b)At what age did the child: crawl, walk, talk, teethe, toilet train ?
ANS. All happened at proper time except teethe.
My mother (her grandmother) says she should have all her previous teeth fallen so far to grow new teeth. But so far only one tooth has fallen and one new tooth grown. Others are delaying.
c)How did the child react to the following situations: vaccinations, birth of younger sibling, starting day care, starting school, spending night with a friend, going away to camp, traveling with the family
ANS. Feared only first vaccination; then no fear of vaccinations. No sibling. Was eager to go to school. No camping yet. Eager to traveling with the family.
d)Did the child have an especially severe childhood illness--measles, mumps, croup, etc.?
ANS. No measles, mumps, croup. During 3, 4, and 5 years of age, at November-December periods, she had had fever-cold problems. At age 5 during that fever-cold problem, she was diagnosed with urine infection. At childhood, she had urine infection problems several time. But this year, no such problem.

e)When ill or upset does the child want to cling or be left alone, or something else altogether?
ANS. wants to cling.
f)How would you describe the child's behavior when playing with other children?
ANS. Nice and accommodating behavior.
g)What feedback do you get from the child's teachers?
ANS. Helpful.

ANS. Likes games, slightly fears study. Not much scope of music and dancing.

ANS. Slight fastidious about eating: wants better quality food.
n)Is the child sensitive to criticism? Please explain.
ANS. Yes, she is very sensitive to criticism. Scolding saddens her.
o)Describe the child's eating habits, for example: picks at his food, or eats voraciously, or is full after 2 bites, or can't sit still to eat, or must be fed or he won't calm down, and so on.
ANS. Slow at eating. Eats little. But eats frequently. Eats dinner early. Not voracious.
p)Are there any digestive complaints--waking with stomach pains, or a lot of gas and bloating or burping, or constipation, etc.?
ANS. Previously she had gas with stomach pains. Milk caused gas that time. One and half wear ago, a homeopathy physician was consulted, and after 3-4 months of medication, that was cured well. (most probably he gave lycopodium).
Currently, no such gas problem. She can drink milk.
q)How cooperative is the child?
ANS. Yes, cooperative.
r)What does the child really love to do?
ANS. Visiting places, playing, watching tv, eating chocolate, chips.

she is shy, timid, and slight nervous with strangers.

Yesterday, suddenly the baby had vomiting (3 times) and abdomen pain. Her mother rushed her to a brain specialist who prescribed Pizotifen and paracetamol for headache. I googled Pizotifen, and it says it is for migraine headache.

I could not get chance to start Belladona. ANd now I'm not sure if allopathy and homeopathy can be taken safely together.

One simple problem: the baby often makes mistakes in spelling, and often forgets names in study. what medicine can be used to address this and to boost memory of small school children?

I assume this is a simple and common issue for many.
