Cervical Spondylosis & Radiculopathy- Experineced homeopaths, please help!!!!

My wife is 32 years old and a housewife .We have a son who is fifteen months old.

It all started about 2 months back when my wife had been complaining of occasional neck & shoulder pain & stiffness in

the left upper arm till the elbow. She used to complain about it early in the morning while getting up from bed.Actually the

pain & stiffness was not so severe at that time.(One thing I have to mention here is that she does not use a pillow and

had to lie for the most part of the night on her left side as my son demands lot of breast feeding at night).So accordingly

we felt that it was just a case of light muscular strain as she was mostly lying on her left side & the winter had set in

(November 2005).Besides as the day progressed the pain subsided with motion/movement.



However we were alarmed when on the morning of 6th december 2005,she started crying that she has a

severe radiating pain in her left arm .I took her to an orthopaedician who took X-rays and declared that it was a case of

Severe Cervical Spondylosis.We were shocked .The doctor immediately wrote some analgesics-Meftal MR(contaning

Mefenamic acid & Tizanidine),a methylcobalamin tablet ,and some antacids .Besides he took blood samples for tests of

S.Alkaline Phospate ,Uric acid & also tested with glucometer.All the results were within normal limits.

He also advised to wear a cervical collar and roll a towel or chaddar and use it below the neck while sleeping.Besides

he also advised to stop breast feeding and take maximum rest. (though that is not totally feasible).



Here I must mention that one of my wife's relative is a Practicing Homeopath(non Qualified) in West

Bengal.On my wife's advice, I called him up to seek some remedy.He advised the following Homeopathic & biochemic

medicines-

Rhus Tox 200 - one drop early morning & the same dose to be repeated after 4 or 5 days.

Kali Phos-12X four tablets - 4 times daily &

Mag Phos-12X four tablets - 4 times daily.

He also said that the allopathic medicines were not to be discontinued & that the homeopathic medicines were to be

taken simaltaneously.

So accordingly she took the Rhus Tox-200 the next morning (8th December)and the biochemic medicines as

per the prescribed dosage.She was continuing the allopathic medicines too.



However though she experienced some relief in the day (maybe because of the pain killers or maybe

because of the homeo medicines) however at night time there wasnt much relief when she lied down.In the morning the

pain was the same.



On the morning of 10th december (saturday)she again took the Rhus Tox-200 - one drop as she felt it could

give some relief.I was on a holiday that day , so I advised her to stop the allopathic medicines that day and we thought

lets see what happens.Besides Rhus Tox-200 she took the biochemic medicines.

However on that latter part of the night she was howling with pain .So in the morning on the 11th December ,

we again went to the doctor.He changed the painkiller -prescribed Myospaz (containing paracetamol,chlorzoxazone &

Diclofenac sodium).He also advised to get a MRI done.



The next day A MRI cervival scan was done in VIMHANS,New Delhi. I am writing the Final impression of the

report:

1)Reversal of cervical curvature.

2)Left Posterolateral disk extrusion at C5/C6 compressing the nerve root on that side.

3)Thickened posterior longitudinal ligament from C3 to C5




The orthopaedician again changed the medicines and advised physiotherapy.

She took Ketorolac & Tizanidine from 12th decemberbesides the methylcobalamin tablet.In the

meantime I again contacted a Homeopath in my hometown in West Bengal.He advised to take Rhus Tox-30 four drops

four times daily & Mag phos-6x four tabs four times daily along with the allopathic medicines.The homeopathic medicines

were started from 13th December.Physiotherapy has been started - Cervical traction 15 mins & diathermy.It has been advised for 15 days and she has taken it for

ten days till today.



But though she feels some relief during the day when she is moving around, the night time is painful.In the

morning she finds it difficult to get up with pressure on her hand, especially the left hand. The left shoulder , neck, and

upper left arm (till elbow)is stiff with pain.Occasionally she is also complaining of tingling & a feeling of numbness in the left

hand(rarely).The Doctor & physiotherapist has said she can start with exercises towards the end of the physio

sessions.She looks to have become very weak with pain .Actually she

cannot take much rest as advised by the doctor being a mother of a fifteen month old child.Sir, I have been passing sleepless nights as I am taking care of the child at

night so that the child takes minimum breast feeds.But the child cries a lot at night demanding breast feeds & it is very

difficult to control.As a result my wife ,me and our child are suffering.What is worrying me most is that the orthopaedician

has said that if my wife's condition does not improve,surgery may have to be done.



Could anybody please prescribe the homeopathic medicines to be started and what is to be done.

I will be highly grateful if you can help us out of this situation.

Present status- She is not taking allopathic medicines.
But taking Rhus tox 30 - 2 drops 4 times daily. & Mag phos-6x 4 tablets 4 times daily0
