Dad with Shingles

hi,

My 65 year old dad got shingles a couple of weeks ago. He got out-brakes on the left side of the scalp, on the back of his head, neck and under and around his left ear. The affected areas are scurfy, crusty, dry and extremely painful. His glands are very painful and he have a hard time turning his neck. He describes it as having a very painful collar. The pain: sore, like needles, the area is stiff and feels like a very bad sunburn. Nerve pain that moves from one place to the next, for about 15 min on each place. He has a very hard time sleeping.

If that remedy does nothing for pain after a few tries, you
may have to go the allopathic route. I have had homeopathic
drs talk to me about the pain from this on relatives and
no homeopathic anything was working.

I have seen Valtrex an antiviral allopathic med work on
this within 24 hours- something to consider.
