Fever due to cold

my son is having fever for the last3 days.it started with cough and cold .fever is low during day time but temperature rises after mid night .his forehead ,palms and feet become hot .i had to give Tylenol to bring his fever down . I am giving him pulsitilla for his stuffy nose and arsenic for fever. Am I on the right path.why does the fever shoot up after midnight? Any help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please stop puls and ars. Give him belladonna 30 and rhus tox 30 twice a day for 3 days.

Thanks for the response . He is also having ear pain intermittent ly . can pulsatilla be given for that?

As it is fever due to sudden cold please use Aconite 200

But aconite is given in the first 24 hrs of illness .it has been three days

Belladonna should work for ear pain. If it doesn't pulsatilla may be used.
Aconite is indicated if there is 'acuteness' in patient's response. It is not necessary to use it only in the initial stage.

What will be the medicines for nasal congestion and coughing . There is no chest congestion.coughing is not dry

Pulsatilla or Belladonna should help for these conditions.
