Ulcerative Colitis .......Dr Mohla ....pls help
y dad, who is around 75 years of age is suffering from Ulcerative Colitis since 9 years. There was some incident due to which he had mental trauma after which he developed acute pains in his abdomen. Before the incident, he use to weigh around 82 and lost around 25 kgs. He was admitted in hospital and was treated. He recovered his weight and is now around 77 kgs. He use to take spicy food but has reduced it drastically. He goes for morning walks and maintain a healthy lifestyle. However, once or twice in a month, he has constipation due to which his Ulcerative colitis flares up and he has lot of pain. He has to take some pain killers like Meftal spas to reduce it. But sometimes, these medicines also fail to help and the pain goes in 3-4 days. He does not have any BP, Sugar or any other problem. He normally takes pantocid 40 in the mornings and pantocid DSR in the evenings before breakfast and dinner respectively.
Can you please help in his treatment so that he gets rid of this problem as he and I am not keen of his allopathic medicines and want his UC to be treated .

Hello,
Please note that my father is again having acute constipation since 3 days with no relief. He is not having any urge to pass stools and is having stomache. Just to remind you that he has ulcerative colitis due to which he often gets constipation issues. Please can you advise a remdy which can cure his ulcerative colitis and also his constipation issues. He is 77 years old now with no sugar or BP problems and is regular with his morning walks.
Thanks

Hi ,
Around 10 years ago my mother expired due to which my father had emotional setback and he developed stomache problems. He lost weight around 20 kgs and use to vomit and developed severe diarrhoea. He was hospitalised for 1 week and was later discharged.
After this he had frequent complaints about stomache, diarrhoea and vomiting. He was put on pantocid 40 in the morning and pantocid dsr in the evening. Whenever he had pain , he use to have meftal spas. I got him checked i.e got his stomache examined and it was found out that he has ulcerative colitis.
No , after so many years his weight is around 75 kgs, age is around 77, physically fit and active but often get complaints about constipation. He develops stomache after a day or two and he is forced to take laxatives. His urine flow also gets restricted during this time. He is able to pass stool after taking laxatives, Once he passes the stool, he is relaxed and his stomache gets soft. The stool is smelly.
Please advise if you need any further details and suggest a remedy.
Did you advise nux vomica 30 ?
