For your son, you may want to start with one dose of ignatia 30c. ONE dose!
Especially if sensitive, as ignatia can make one sleepy and then start
Releasing grief From other things that he was not even aware of.
This can be very emotional, but each time things come up they will pass after an hour or so. Emotions always FEEL like they will stay forever, but they
Do not.
I used to do therapy so I have given this remedy often, and made sure that
I was able to reassure the patient as emotions came up that it was going to pass. Just one dose of 30c could have a person releasing grief for two weeks- so be prepared.

Hopefully Amir will read this and give you instructions on arsenicum.
But you can at least give one dose now.
With pets, I usually dissolve either a couple pills or drops and mix with
1/4 cup of water- then I use a syringe to gather it and squirt into side of mouth. That way you know the remedy was received.
For your child, up to you to decide when to give a single dose and observe
- the reality is no matter how much you or anyone can "mentally" understand
That it will pass(emotions) going thru the emotions
Is just plain difficult. And everyone grieves in different ways and length
Of time- important to comfort and not judge, especially with kids.
