Acoustic Neuroma/Ear Tumor

I am a 30 year old female who has just been diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma in my right auditory canal. My symptoms are a mild sudden hearing loss which has not returned, tinnitus and pressure headaches. This tumour is benign and my neurotoligist wants to wait six months do another MRI before deciding on a treatment. In the meantime i would really like to try any natural remedies that may help. I have started reiki treatments, and i have changed my diet. Does anyone have any suggestions for me ?
The tumour is only 8mm x3mm and has been known on occassion to shrink on its own, i would love to be one of thoses cases.
Tks

Tatianna,
Please respond to Girilal's request..he's has given good suggestions here in the past. If we know more about you, a remedy can help.
Homeopathy is not like allopathy, a 'this for that' type treatment. My repertory gives remedies for neuroma's but in order to know if any of those would help, we know if you are dark, fair, slim or curvy, tall, like spicy food, or cold food, hot weather, or if you are better in the open air, your temperment (ie,outgoing, shy, angry, mild)...this type of info. It's not to pry but to 'see' how you are and to be able know what remedy might assist you best.
Blessings,
Jade

Hello Tatianna,

You do not have to worry at all ! These tumors are benign and harmless. Today there are so many better options available to deal with AN. Surgery is always the last choice.

I had a very big tumor and I underwent Radio Surgery in August 2005. It was very simple, painless, non invasive procedure. And it has been almost 2 years now and I am back to my normal life.

No Surgery please, it has lot of complications and very complex.

I will be glad to answer any questions that you may have. Please feel free to contact me at my mail id.

Regards

Hi Mike,

I have seen your mail and would like to re-assure you that, there is no change that will happen to your life. In cases of AN, the doctors always adopt a wait and watch policy. They wish to be sure about the nature of the tumour and its growth etc.
I started getting the symptoms in Sept- Oct 2004, but I was lazy and did not take it seriously. I met the ENT in March 2005 and finally the AN was confirmed in July 2005.
I underwent Gamma Knife surgery in August 2005 and since then except for loss of hearing and tinnitus, I am perfectly fine and in good health. I have been always working and it has not affected my life at all. It is just that we have to get used to the hearing loss and ringing sound.
After my treatment I was meeting my doctor every 6 months to see the results. The latest being in April 2008. Necrosis is clearly visible and the results are good so now I will see him only after 18 months. You may get in touch with me at shekharu at gmail dot com I will be glad to be of any help. I am male 51 yrs old now and absolutely fighting fit.
Best wishes
Shekhar

Shekhar,

Thanks for your reply. I went to the doctor today and was told the AN is 16mm x 10mm x 10mm. I will be seeing a neurosurgeon soon. In the meantime, can you please advise me what diet regime should i follow and what supplements to take? are you on the NYC/NJ area? I am looking for support grouop information but can;t find any. I also sent a request to the ANA webiste but have received no response yet. Thanks very much!

It is very irresponsible to dispense information along the lines of: it's not a big deal and there are lots of things you can do, etc..
Do not go to doctors like Shahinian. I have literally been warned by three surgeons (top in the top hospitals) to stay away from this guy. There are other minimally invasive surgeons that do not have this track record and you will not get your head cut open unnecessarily. He has cut open heads and pretended to resect with taking out ZERO tumor. Please do your research and look at his inquiries and malpractice that he has lost. Also, go on other sites to see what others with similar diagnosis have experienced. Good luck!
