hypothyroidism
I just got back my results for TSH levels and I have 8.46 in a range of 0.5-5.0. The test was a home test kit which I sent to the lab myself. (i'm a student and don't have medical insurance) According to what I know this would be consider hypothyroidism. I have a friend who is a medical doctor which I will talk further regarding this. But I been reading on the board about treatments for thyroid problems. I saw several things that are good for thyroid but how many people have a proven remedy. You have actually known it to drop tsh levels?Right now Im very willing to do thyroidium, spongia, fucus and iodium suggested by someone (sorry I forgot)
Thanks!

Dear,
Go and get your test done properly in a diagnostic center.Get your TSH, T3, T4 done.Immediately consult an Endocrinologist and talk to him about the side effects you have.He will be the right person to give you the medication which is usuallt Eltroxin. He will prescribe based on your Results and levels. Please dont hesitate and immediately consult a doctor.
Thanks,
Swapna.

Dear Jose07
Dont use any allopathic medicine for your thyroid, consult an experienced homeopath, or submit your detail symptoms here, and maybe Girilal/John/Walkin/Sajjad can take your case, all the homeopathic medicines you have mentioned are good remedies for thyroid malfunction, but I would still request you to consult a homeopath, either on this forum or someone in your city
Best Regards
Sazim

Swapna,
Sorry but I don't go to allopathic on the first shot. I try alternative first then if no aid then I go to allopathic. I also work really close by my best friend who is an MD. I have talked to him about my condition and said that T3 and T4 readings would not really matter that much and would still be treated as a hypothyroidism patient.
Sazim, I would like to consult a experienced homeopath but here there is just one that I know of and is pretty pricey!
So for now... I have read the materia medica on several homeopathic medicines and I will be taking
Merc. viv. 1m 1x wk.
Iodium 6x 3x day
Spongia tosta Q 3x day
psorinum 30 2x day
I have checked my TSH levels which is 8.46 right now. In a months time I will check again and post it on here. I will do this for some 3 mths and see if I notice any changes? I will post any changes.

Just an update. Before treatment I would sleep approx. 10hrs (i work from home :) ) wake up and feel like getting back in bed. Just feeling really tired and not wanting to do much. Forcing myself to do things.
Now I have been on the above treatment for a week now. Changes I have noticed so far. I still sleep around 10hr. (guess call me lazy :) ) but now I have noticed I do not tire easily anymore.
I was thinking since I have high TSH levels I had a deficiency of iodine. Since taking spongia and iodium I think I have gotten enough of it in my system that I have noticed a difference. Im still taking the treatment and in a months worth time I will retest my TSH levels again.
I will keep y'all posted. Thanks!
