Failure in eye contact, social anxiety
Sirs,It all started when I was preparing for competitive exams and in the examination halls, I began to have extreme urge to urinate. Once outside there was no problem. It continued for a long time. Where ever I was trapped in between a function, closed space or people where I knew it would be tough to go out for a long time, suddenly I felt the need to urinate.
In later years I somehow controlled this to an extent. However, I turned too shy and introvert, which is against my basic nature. Feel exahusted, nervous and can't see anybody in eye.
It is strange as people notice it and get fed up of me as they feel I am not interested in conversation.
The thought of any approaching stranger makes me weary, only with a few friends I can talk easily though if I meet them after long time, I take a few days to adjust again. If there is a meeting I feel sudden anxiety, palpitation. Please suggest a remedy and the potency also. I would be indebted to all of you.For the last 3-4 years I have grappled with the problem and don't know how to deal with it though I have tried all techniques, exercises, yoga and so many other things.

Hi there,
Wow...when I read your post I was saddened. I too suffer like you...perhaps worse. It started for me 6 years ago after I moved to the country and left a 7.5 yr relationship. I think that the feeling of being stuck brought it all on. I tried anti-anxiety medicine which only made me worse. After severe episodes I somehow found a way to half function again...with programs, faith and hope. For some reason I fell back again...maybe because I didn't have a reliable car and didn't trust driving alone. Long story short, it's been 4 years that I have missed all holidays and events outside of my town. Not much happens in the country so I haven't experienced much. Now I am so anxious because I am faced with needing a root canal. I broke a tooth a couple of months ago and now I need a root canal. So the anxiety of sitting in that chair is there...and the anxiety of having to drive is there. I don't know how I'll do it...I feel like I am going to vomit. It's horrible. I've been praying non stop. I've tried yoga as well. I've just ordered this stuff called, 'Pure Calm' and I am praying it works. It's suppose to instantly calm you down. I completely understand your position....however...your ahead of the game it seems your still functioning. I wish I were in that position. I cannot drive out of town and there isn't much work here so I don't work. Survival is so hard. I went from being a full time legal secretary to this. Sad really. Anyhow, I can only suggest that you try hypnosis and some homeopathy remedies. I don't know the remedies but I'm sure someone will help you. All The Best.
