Statistics on Flu Shots

Does anyone know where on the net I can go to get statistics on the effectiveness of the flu shot and possibly the side effects.

My wife works in a nursing home. They require all staff to get the flu shot. If they refuse they then have to take a course of TamiFlu. If they refuse this they are sent home without pay if there if s flu outbreak (which is classified as more than two people in the whole retirment home having the flu at the same time). Every year she gets the TamiFlu prescription filled but never takes it. This year she's going to stand up for her rights and tell them to stick it where the sun doesnt shine. I cant believe in Canada that this municipally run nursing home has the right to basically force her to take the flu shot or Tamiflu or not be allowed to come to work.

Any info or links to websites that could help would be beneficial to us.
