Heavy bleeding during period w/ other bad symptoms
I am very new to the homeopathic medicine world, and just somehow got advised from a friend that I should try some homeopathic remedies to prevent my 'period problems.' I don't really know if I should go to a homeopathic doctor first, or if I should just try Sepia without consultation. Sepia was recommended by my friend, and so I decided to check it out online.Symptoms:
I first got my period since I was 11 years old, and that's when my problems started to happen. Every month I bleed heavily during my period and my bleeding can last from 5-8 days. Heavy bleeding lasts for atleast 4 days. My pre-menstrual syndrome gets worse every year - irritable, over-sensitive, depression, anger, etc. PLUS, breast tenderness, and a short 'preview' of cramping. Then, I get my period - on the first day everything is dandy, then on the second day my cramps are sooo painful that I vomit at least once. On top of that, my thighs are so heavy, lower back is hurting, and my abdomen feels like it's going to fall. Walking helps a little bit, but only if I take something like 2 tablets of Aleve, which doesn't really help at all. And yes, I've tried Midol cramps, Tylenol, Advil, etc. and they all don't work. Staying in bed helps and hopefully I fall asleep during this all, but unfortunately I have to be at work during this time. This is the worse part of it all - being at work suffering like this.
I want to try Sepia, but I heard that it can increase hair growth? I have so much hair on my head that I can't possibly fit anymore strands! :) Do you think Sepia would help me out? Do you think that the hair growth will affect me as well?
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post. I'm just so desparate to find something that will help me out. My doctor encourages me to take birth control pills, but I feel that that acts like a band-aide and won't help me in the long run. I am 28 years old, and have had this problem since I was 11. I have many stories about how the symptoms of my period has negatively affected my life - school, work, etc.
Any help would be appreciated!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
yes, most of your symptoms are related to SEPIA.
especially when you said ' .. my abdomen feels as if its going to fall.. '
this is marked symptom of SEPIA.
can you confirm with the answers to the following questions;
- do u like comparitively warm environments and feel cold in windy weathers.
- what do u crave for in food and what is your aversion.
- do you notice a horizontal saddle mark on your nose during sick periods.
- do u dislike getting wet, like laundry etc.
- crying without knowing why
- sometimes hate boyfriend for no reason.
if your answer is yes to some of the questions above, SEPIA is the right remedy.
Take three doses of SEPIA 200C at 4 hours interval.
come back with your symptoms after one month. you may have to repeat the dose after one month or go for a higher potency as indicated.

Thanks Rishimba for your reply. Here are my answers to your questions:
1.) I can't function in cold weather, so I prefer warm environments.
2.)I crave for sweets most of the time, but I don't really have any food aversions. Maybe oily food when I have my period - ya, it makes me sick.
3.) No, I don't really pay attention to that, but I will check next time.
4.) Most of the time.
5.) Yes.
6.) YES!!
Question: When do I start taking Sepia? Before my period or the first day of my period?

Most of your narrated symptoms point towards Sepia. You can try sepia 200c 3-4 hours interval for 2 days premenstrually. You suffer from PMS-premenstrual syndrome and I have cured many cases of PMS with Sepia.
You can think of some exercise, deep breathing exercise, yoga meditation every day along with the homoeopathic treatment as I have noticed that these auxillary measures help to relieve your PMS symptoms.
Do write back the progress.

Thanks everyone for helping me with your advice.
I could not find Sepia in 200c, so I bought the 30c. I am not exactly sure what those numbers mean - is it the dosage level? Anyway, I am going to take them today for the first time. My breast are really tender and hurt a little. I'm also getting previous of stomach cramps. It won't to full force I imagine in until a few days. Should I start taking them now?
Thanks everyone!

take SEPIA 30C four times a day for 2 days and then note the difference for the next 7 days.
if you dont find much improvement, you need to take SEPIA 200C three doses.
