Nat Mur and salt intake

Years ago, when I became interested in Homeopathy, I thought the remedy Nat Mur seemed to be ideal for my Mother's problems, but she wouldn't take it. She has recently spent a worrying few weeks in hospital due to her sodium level dropping to dangerously low levels (113). When I was a child, my sister suffered kidney problems so we all adopted a low salt diet, and for years, my mother has found anything salty, impossible to eat. A naive question, I know, but could Nat Mur have been suitable? Is it indicated where for whatever reason the body doesn't retain enough Sodium?
I'd be very interested in any replies - thank you

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have been given this remedy several times. I have 'craved' salt my whole adult life. Pickles and olives are at the top of the list. After eating them my fingers swell up and I am thirsty for water.
