The ABC Homeopathy Forum
Remedy for GAD
Hi. I am a housewife, 38 years old. I have the following - Very timid, totally lack assertiveness and ability to stand up for myself, anxious, nervous, fearful, extremely irritable, weak, feel paralysed by fear, unable to sleep even when body is extremely tired, lack of confidence, feel intimidated by people, easily hurt and offended and dwell on grudges. I have been taking Argentum Nitricum whenever I feel anxious. (A simple task like taking my son down to play triggers an anxiety attack and I have to take a few pills and give myself a pep talk before even stepping out of the house). In a confrontation, I tend to flee away and then keep replaying the incident over and over again in my mind with how I could have stood my ground and been more assertive. My timidity and lack of assertiveness makes me even more guilty and anxious and I have a tough time going out. Please help.

Any history of abuse- physical or sexual?
What fears do you have in particular?
Any physical conditions?
Anything else peculiar about you or unique I should say?

No history of abuse. Very supportive and caring family atmosphere. No particular fears. The anxiety is more generalised. I avoid situations where I expect confrontations. But, if I have to go out with my son to a public garden or a gaming zone, I try to choose the least crowded time. I totally lack assertiveness and become tongue-tied when I should be putting across my point.
