cold and cough

hi..i am a mum to a lovely and lively 15 month old boy. at the moment he is suffering from a dry cough which is very unusual as it is the first time since he was born. he is also suffering from a cold with a watery mucusy green discharge. he often has head colds. i gave him aconite 30c once.
i do believe in homeopathic medicines but am not very familiar with prescribing them.please advise

It sounds as if he is unable to bring up mucus from the chest?
