weight gain problem

kindly help me
i'm 21 yrs of age my weight is 58 kgs and height is 5'11' as since childhood i was average in health but since 15-16 of age i became lean......since 2 weeks i've been taking alfalfa drops and five phos to gain weight but it worked a little bit it as prescribed by someone......is it ok for gaining weight....and if so till how many months i must continue it?????,,,,hope for a soon reply....
