Non stop e-coli UTI
I am a 60 yr old woman who has had a recurring e-coli UTI for over 4 years (always confirmed by lab testing). I have hypothyroidism. I am on bio identical hormones (my hormones were so low they barely registered in blood work), compounded slow release T3 capsules (I do not convert T4 medications into useable T3). I have been on antibiotics for this UTI repeatedly for 4 years. It goes away when taking antibiotics and comes back 3 days after stopping antibiotics. I have a naturopath who does not use homeopathy but instead uses herbs and tinctures. I was tested for candida and was packed with it. I have recently completely a candida cleanse with great success. So much so that my thyroid medication was reduced as well as my bio identical hormones.Nothing my naturopath is doing is getting rid of this e-coli UTI. I have burning/hot feeling in the genital area before, during and after urinating. I recently purchased some colibacillinum 200C and would appreciate any help in curing this. It is affecting my whole body. I cannot think, it makes me feel sick and generally unwell.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I also have leukocytes and sometimes speckled blood showing on urinalysis sticks as well as nitrites.

Hi,
I am not prescribing - just a suggestion as my mother went thru the same-
Started wearing a daily pad- bc somehow
Having minor incontinence was letting E. coli
Wick up into the urethra and constant uti's.
After using a pad every day it finally stopped
For good. The dr was going to have her see
A urologist , but thankfully not needed.

I do wear a pad every day for those times with there is a bit of leakage. It doesn't happen often with me now though. Thanks for the suggestion though. I should add for anyone prescribing that I was diagnosed with interstial cystitis in my 30's. It went dormant for close to 30 yrs and then flared up 5 yrs ago. I had to have a cystoscopy and then a transurethral resection of the bladder (I was urinating blood). Nothing was found except an open sore in the bladder. After that procedure (which took 6 wks to recover from) there was no more visible blood in urine. Then I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and then this UTI started and has lasted 4 yrs.
