Need advice potency

I need advice what potency should i take. im quite sure what remedy i should take is pinus sylvestris , and i have read that recommended dosage is tincture to third potency. im thinking to start with third potency and ..

So my questions is , what is third potency 3X or 3C ? And how often should i take the remedy , once a day or more frequently , and how long?

Any advice appreciate , Regards
