Pyometra
My 10 yr old dog has open pyometra for over a year. The vet gave her two rounds of antibiotics for a UTI. The first round eased the bleeding, so he gave a second round, but it didnt help. So I tried many natural remedies for a UTI, and the only thing that helped was the mix of tumeric/honey/VitC. But whenever I stopped giving it, she started bleeding again. The second vet said she had pyometra and needed surgery, so I wanted to try homeopathy instead.The main symptom is bloody urine that smells like something dead. When she first begins to pee, it is clear. But towards the end of her urinating, the urine becomes full of very red blood. There are clots sometimes, but not always. Her heat cycles have been normal and on time. Her appetite is fine, and she drinks plenty of water. Her gums are pink. The fur on her back has a greasy feel to it, and a slight odor to it. She has always been very active and fit, but she has gained some weight since this started. She is mostly an outside dog, and she runs around all day with her bestie. However, now she wants to be inside by herself to sleep all day, and she quite forceably pushes to come inside even when she is told no. She just runs to lay down in her bed and sleep inside. Even when her bestie wants to come see her, she just turns away and wants to be alone. However, she is very eager to go on walks with my husband on our property, and she runs around like normal. I tried Pyrogen 200c for about a month. It helped slightly in that the bleeding slowed and wasnt as strong in odor, but it seemed to plateau and not move further. I tried Sepia 1M for a week, but no change in symptoms or behavior. Should I increase the Pyrogen to 1M or any other suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I have Merc Sol 30C, but I dont have the 200C. I can order it, but it will take 5-7 days to get. Can I try the 30C instead?

I gave the Merc Sol 30C for 4 days. There is no change in the amount of bleeding. Her urine is clear, except for the last few seconds...and then it is slightly pink with blood. However, the urine smells 50% worse than before taking the Merc Sol. It smells like rotting meat, and you can smell it 10 ft away. The smell had decreased after taking the Sepia, and now it is increased again.

will the NUX VOM 200 + COCCUS CACTI 30 be proper for my dog mimi, around 8 years in age, VERY early signs of pyometra [open] if that, and want to be safe.
theres no harm in me starting with this, as the other user said the others werent effective. or is there?
if so please explain why.
im about to order them. (along with PULSATILLA 200C)
was not going to give them to her all at once, of course, just go by what I research online. please help us!
also, I can only find the ones with CK not C, just double checking for all who are also in the same predicament if they are same, give or take?
shes currently on 50+ Manuka honey, 1000mg VIT C [split in 2 doses a day], and turmeric along with organic dandelion root [just added that to the mixture today]
I was giving garlic, fine minced in a capsule, first 1/4 teaspoon 2 x a day, for 1.5 days, but she has a very sensitive tummy & garlic bloats her to where she is unhappy. so I cut the dosage In half 2 times a day, for 1 day, then even a little less only 1 times a day but it still caused lots of bloat. its a shame, as I know it would work wonders if I could keep her on it. but thats my last resort, if nothing else works. [tip: only give the minced garlic in capsule by putting down their throat if you can, after theyve eaten so they dont have upset stomach --will/can cause gas/farting/bloating)
IN FACT, the only time she seemed outwardly in blatant pain/discomfort was during her very bloated episodes during the garlic. once the garlic/bloat went away, her bright eyes returned.. playing.. shows signs of great health. just EMPHASIS, on I know I caught the pyometra very very early, as I wipe all my babies with baby wipes, and theyre my kids so I observe them closely.. and that my worry is due to the discharge, not behavior.
(EDIT: since typing this ive purchased all mentioned above, so please tell me if im ok to use what I have bought?)

it was milky white, now creamy pink. smelling a little. however, its not as often like the milky discharge almost was, as she was constantly licking, which now she isnt licking as often + now, if I check, ill find some discharge throughout the day with hours of gaps in between. its not a constant ooze.
is this normal , do they essentially leak out the rest & what color should it be and how often?

(background: she went thru a heat some months ago, was in a seemingly phantom pregnancy, and was nearing the end, when just 2 weeks ago, my other dog went into heat, and as soon as she got receptive/flagging my girl mimi snapped right back into flagging, ending her phantom it was bizarre, but shes always been weird with her hormones/split heats...however, I noticed she was having different discharge as mentioned above. my concerns are only coming from the discharge, not outward behavior. theres no alarming behavior. I hope this helps.)
